We meet at 1:45 at West Park gates to divi up the leaflets, etc and then spread out to cover all the main walkways into the stadium. I'm sure the walkway from Argyle Street to the KC was covered last Saturday and will be again against Villa.
Won't be there but will support you from afar. Much better idea than boycotting or disrupting the game.
Will be interesting to hear the response.I sing virtually every song but will not be joining in with this.I think quite a few near me in e2 feel the same way as I do.Good luck getting the West stand choir to replace us. I think you are more likely to get a round of applause rather than singing from the Westies.Never mind you can come back on here calling that a triumph.
Of course you do, because you're a fantastic football supporter who cares about his club's heritage. Oh, wait, you don't. You're just another **** who wants to see a Premier League football club on your doorstep.
Of course. I believe you. Thousands wouldn't. I'll say the same thing to you as I said to the last chap: even if you don't care, why take the piss out of the many who do? I'd say that means you're not much of a fan at all.
If you are really interested my reason is that I do not think this protest may lead us to where most protesters think it might.Whilst dip sticks like yourself want to show your "passion"and superior fanliness by rallying to the cause I do not feel the need. Arthur Scargill entered a fight in which he completely under estimated the opposition.I could not stand Thatcher but all the shouting and charging and showing of passion by genuinely commited miners did not produce the outcome they were looking for. You could end up pissing off AA to the extent that he walks.I think this would be a disaster. There is more than one way to skin a cat.You are imo way out of your depth in thinking you will sway AA from his intended course. This is assuming the name change is his intended course.Mr A is a hugely successful man.Just a guess but you do not sound like one Merrick
Assem Allam is a successful businessman who is owed £66 million by Hull City, a large proportion of his family's wealth. Even if we sell all our players he would be owed over £40 million. If we stay in the premiership the value of his shares are going to increase and he stands to get his money back, if it wants it. He is not going to walk away from that because we sing a song on Saturday. He has the opportunity of leaving a lasting legacy in this City that no other owner of our club could manage, not even Harold Needler. Is he going to take it is the question?
Tbh the first question I'd ask is "are you really planning on changing the team's name to Hull Tigers and undo all your good work?".
http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Disa...ey-Hull-City/story-19882692-detail/story.html Not bothering to start a new thread for this. Make of it what you will.
.........and if he says no, but I want to just go for 'Hull City Tigers' and is willing to put it in stone - cannot be changed to 'Hull Tigers'..... what would happen to the 'City Till I Die' campaign? - you've now got 'City'. Will the campaign carry on as 'AFC Till I Die' ?
Lou, you have made your position clear, but will you feel the same when we become The Virgin Media Tigers and play in Sheffield. Because if Association Football Club and City are not marketable where does that leave Hull?
