Nobody on the committee is anti-Allam.

    Though most are anti-Plastik.

The apathy got under my skin, not the groups. You actually make a good point about recognising the message. My seat is in the block above the directors box. Does anyone actually be.ieve that the Allams noticed anything different? They know about the protests and the group but they like those around me would not have seen anything different. Nothing stirred around me, I did hear one or two try and I tried myself, but looking around no one batted an eyelid.

Someone has to come up with a way to get these voices going. Are there any chants with "tut" in them?

The way I see it, it's an evolving game/ business. The Allems have told us the costs of playing Premier League football and money has to be generated from somewhere, the £11M it's cost us has been covered by SBOBET Asia becoming our official bookies, the shirt sponsor will be another Asia company, if this is due to the name change this can only be a good thing to take the team/ club forward.

I'm aware of the history of the club and I'm not overly happy with the change, but I'm also a business man and would try anything to increase revenue. There were similar minor protests at moving to the stadium, but everyone still goes and gets on with it.

As previously mentioned there will be a compromise of Hull City Tigers (as the badge currently is), if this works then it works, if it doesn't they'll just Hull FC's model when they changed their name, or a new owner will come in and change it back to get the fans on their side from the off, this is part of an evolving business and new things do need to be tried. If it works and generates £M's to create a solid foundation for the future, let them try it, if it doesn't it they will try something else.

The football being played is in Hull, the City of Hull, the team will continue to be strengthened and hopefully we'll be in this division for a long time. The better we get the more money needed, therefore, the Allems will need to find it from somewhere or sell up to someone with more money.

I will continue to go whatever we're called and I will support the team as City as this is our name and the name I've been brought up with, even the new and newer generations with still call them City as this is what their Dads have called them and this will still get passed down through the generations.

£11m from SBOBET would have been lovely, unfortunately, it's utter bollocks.

We only get a few hundred grand from our kit sponsor, yet you think someone is going to pay millions just to be a betting partner? <doh>

Anyone who thinks that there's a massive market opening up to us in Asia, just because we put Tigers in our name, is soft in the head.

It won't get generations away, the next owner will gain instant favour by reverting the name.

Agreed. If the name change was generating anything significant, does anyone think it would be a secret? It would be the single most powerful argument to kill the protests, and most of the protesters, me included, would have to concede that AA was right in this respect at least.

    Not holding my breath though.

I haven't ignored you on purpose. The leaflets were black so people wouldn't confuse them with last weeks and I think that worked. I accept that they didn't stand out so something for the future.

Balloons is something else we are considering as well as other merchandise.

How to get people to sing..... the million dollar question. During our last premier league season I tried getting people to sing in the South West corner. It was hard singing songs with just two people but over time we increased the number slightly. Sometimes we even had the south corner of the West stand singing it depended on what we were doing on the pitch. When the chance came I moved to the East Stand. I now sing a lot more. My experience says the singers should be together. From where I stand, 19:04 sounded loud. My feeling is lets get 19:04 established first.

If there are groups of people around you who want to sing get to know them and offer morale support and join in. Hopefully you'll enjoy it so much you'll want to join in some of our other songs.

I'll take your suggestion of moving around people the ground to encourage singing back to the committee though.

Absolutely !! SBOBET will not even take £11 million in betting over 3 years at the KC so are hardly likely to pay £11 million for the privilege

As for shirt sponsorship, we are never going to attract huge amounts as that is something limited to the top 6-8 clubs who get the global TV coverage

The only real chance of bringing in big money would be if an Asian multi millionaire/company decided to buy a majority stake in The Tigers, and then the only real beneficiaries would be our current owners

SBOBET came in because we are in the premier league. If we don't change our name and remain in the premier league they'll remain. If we get relegated as Hull Tigers I doubt whether they'll stay beyond the contract. SBOBET want the worldwide exposure Hull City get because we are premier league.

    Utter rubbish!

The cost of playing Premier League football is helped by the £60M we'll get from TV money this year, not a made up amount from our betting partners.

Given the SBOBET deal was done without the name change and the new shirt sponsor is complete speculation then there's no financial reason for the name change to go ahead.

I agree with the protest and applaud those who are involved.

However I dislike the opinion of a few that you either actively support this particular protest or your part of the problem.

I know personally of two people that were abused by those handing out leaflets for not taking one, what the idiots didn't know was that these two people know Assem personally and have spoken to him about the name change. Now I would argue the opinion of someone Assem knows and respects is more likely to have an impact than a few leaflets (not that I'm suggesting either will actually change his mind) but just because they didn't want to sing a song when someone told them too, they were treated like ****.

Like I say I applaud the effort and the hard work people are doing, just don't judge those that are not involved as they may be helping in their own way.

SBOBET are also the Asian betting partners of the Swansea Swans, West Hammers, Southampton Saints and Norwich Canaries.

It's funny how the apathetic fans at City are trying to rubbish what 1904 is doing.

They haven't got any arguments of their own, and they know it, so they try to sabotage a perfectly respectful campaign.

Read this with interest and want to share my experiences.
1st its worth saying I'm anti name change, attended both protest marches and Ive handed out badges and leaflets at the last two home games.

Only last Saturday did I get any negative comments, only one guy, approx 60 suggested me and my 20 others idiots could do one!

Fans I've discussed the campaign with in pubs and at the KC are supportive but pro Allam and worried thst the campaign may stop him funding City or worse still leave.

Many other's dont understand the loan and that City are paying Allams business interest,
perfectly above board but fsns dont know or dont care.

When asked what name they'd want on the FA Cup if City ever won it..un -surprisingly they then become supporters of retaining our identity!

Its gonna be a long haul to win those who cant be bothered or dont see any issue over.

The apathetic do not need any arguments of their own. Most of the apathetic just go to watch the football and also support our great benefactor 100%.

We'll never get even close to winning any cups without the support of our current owners. We wouldn't be where we are without them. That's what a lot of people think and that's why you'll hear people happy to accept whatever Dr Allam decides.

Everyone is in entitled to their own opinion. Mine is that I can think of a few notables where there'd be two surplus letter 'a's in that post.

100% agree with you but still we have no logical reason provided that changing the name will improve anything.

I'm willing to lidten to any argument for change and still all I get is Dr/ Mr Allam saved the club. Thats not in doubt but doesn't justify changing the name!
