After recent results it would be very difficult for Watford to achieve 17th .
I had not fully appreciated the value of " merit " money re final finishing spot in the Prem . The club could well be in for a unbudgeted windfall of an extra 5-10 million with a strong finish . Happy day's .
If you need refreshing on final position "merit "money.

This is a huge sum of money especially when you take into account total prize money for winning the FA cup is "only" £1.8 m

Great minds and all that, I was looking at this yesterday as I was concerned about what our P&L might look like this season. I believe a top 10 finish is what we want and need to provide the base to strengthen not just ourselves but Udiinese and Granada by "trickledown" effect.....

I still think Bournemouth will crash and burn to go down with Villa and Sunderland. Norwich should have enough about them to survive as should we!!!

We might need to factor in the loss of value for Vydra from his likely value of £10 million + a couple of years ago. He is obviously very talented but his attitude is too sulky.

Is he worth any more than £3 million now?

Or the gain in value for Ighalo, Deeney, Capoue worth well over 100 million between them now! Vydra is a square peg who only fits in a square hole, he can't or wont bend to any way of playing but his way, shame but he needs to find the right squad...

Tamas Priskin is looking for the right strike partner.
Haven't Reading already paid us a stupid amount just for the loan ?

Our form, recently, hasn't been much different from the first half of the season. All the results have been the same except -3 points against Swansea, -1 point against Southampton, and plus three points against Palace. In other words, we are one point down against teams we have played a second time compared to when we had only played those teams the first time.
