Kemp I absolutely 100% agree with you BUT we are not known as "Sleepy Suffolk" for nothing! I remember back in the mid 70s when we were playing the best football I have ever seen under Bobby that PR was silent most of the time! Hence the slogan "Robsons Zombies". This club and this Town are sleep walking to relegation and its breaking my bloody heart! My brother has been a ST holder for as long as me since 1985 and he has stopped going now even though he has bought a ticket this year! Mate joking aside we are ****ed and I rue the day when Evans turned up with his cash and empty promises!

It's tricky really because I hate what we have ended up with and you hate where you might be heading............

League 1 isn't that bad, in fact it was the best time that I can remember in a long time or NCFC. You guys have been in europe etc so it may seem like a bigger step down but it's not really as maybe you need something like this as you are not going to get where you want to be by carrying on like you are.

All I can say is, be careful what you wish for.

Evans is a bit of shady character, and say what you will about Delia but better the devil you know sometimes.

So what are the best odds you will give us for staying up?

at the moment these are the odds:

    Peterborough
    2/5 2/5 1/3 4/9 7/20

    Barnsley
    5/4 5/4 11/8 6/4 127/100

    Ipswich
    5/2 9/4 9/4 5/2 147/50

    Millwall
    11/4 5/2 9/4 13/5 107/50

    Sheffield Wednesday
    10/3 15/8 7/4 11/4 33/20

    Bristol City
    7/2 4 10/3 13/5 157/50

    Charlton
    10/3 4 5 9/2 261/100

BUT, Barnsley almost always avoid it and so probably will Wednesday and Charlton. You have to look at form and possible changes in the future.

I would take Ipswich on at 5/1.

I must admit I find it very hard to actually imagine Ipswich getting relegated this season, simply because if they are still in the mire in a few games then Jewell will get the sack, and someone else will probably rescue them.

I think you will change manger by christmas and be fine.

The real problem is that you will just stay the same and treading water in Championship if you change through desperation.

Well boys it is a very sobering day for both Ipswich and Norwich! I'm getting pissed tonight <cheers>

I see no way out of our current nosedive unless Evans finally gets rid of Jewell and appoints someone who knows what they are doing! For me he should do what is necessary and appoint Mick McCarthy asap. I used to go every home game and every away game with a group of 8 mates, none of us are going now! These are very dark days for ITFC and all joking aside I would give my right arm to be in the bottom 3 of the PL!

When you start employing former club legends like Wark as a manager then you know the game is up!

    Good luck JWM.

And trust me you wouldn't. It's not all it's cracked up to be the prem. So much bullshit and so expensive.

Gunn was the same. But it don't make you a good manager.

    No sobering here.

    I've got Derby fever!

Why the hell NCFC and ITFC can't bang their heads together and sort a "friendly" derby out every year is beyond me.....................

it would sell plenty to help both clubs.

Thanks JWM. Gotta think region rather that us and them.

I guess we remember the traditional EA Old Farm Derbys going back to the 70s! Great days and great memories just a shame that our clubs are heading in different directions!

Nice thread kemp but I have to disagree strongly when you say you prefer CCC football. The EPL is the only place to be, yes ATM it is a real struggle but if we purely target survival for two to three seasons with the exra cash we could establish ourselves once again as a top flight club. A big ask I know considering our current position, but we must go for it<ok>
