I see that you managed a win
Over ten men, as Chelsea did too,
The margin in theirs was so thin
But your three points, were they well due?

To come from behind shows some heart
An improvement on the previous games,
Especially considering the start
You had, without naming any names

And I see old Bullard is back
He finally made up his mind,
Where he wants to bolster the attack
With runs and shots in from behind

But elderly, now he´s become
He could just end up off the pace,
And with Bowyer, find he gets done
As things just hot up in the race

It looks a tough league, yours, this year
It did, even before the start,
And before you say it, up here

That's the first time I've ever seen one of yours tinged with sourness RBF. I can only imagine that's a very good sign.

Can only see one outcome: Norwich don't have enough and neither do Town - Championship East Anglian derby back for one season only in 2012-13

To answer your question, we got away with it on Saturday but with players terrified to step over the white line it was that little kick on that we never got under Roy Keane. I always said part of the problem was that he was never a lucky man - everything just got worse and worse - and it doesn't feel like that with Paul Jewell.

For Keane, read Roeder - some do tend to make their own luck, while others go in the opposite direction. I´d be very surprised if we ever see either of those two in management again.
 
Relegation is going to come down to a mini-league again.The usual suspects are altready showing their form so I guess it's going to be

Norwich

Blackburn

Swansea

Wigan

Baggies

Fulham?

QPR?

And possibly one other.We need four points off as many of the others as we can get.What I have seen so far makes me cautiously optomistic we could average a point a game.38 normally is enough to survive.For what it is worth the pundits are giving us a fair chance.
 
Out of the established teams I can only see Blackburn and at a push WBA being sucked in. But those clubs will sack their manager in a couple of months if things don't improve and WBA have a terrific set of players.

I would add Sunderland into the mix - they are so much weaker and there is always one side who nosedives at some point in the season and gets pulled under.

I think of the three promoted sides Swansea look the strongest - I can't see QPR staying up although with their resources they could go on a spree in January.

I fancy it to be Blackburn, Norwich and Sunderland for the drop.
 
I am forever pessimistic and think we will drop back down in May but will hopefully bounce back even stronger than last season to try again.

Had we had 11 v 11 in the last two games for the full match I think I would have been a little more optimistic about our chances of survival. Based on what I have seen in those 3 games it might not actually come down to us being not good enough but more a case of getting 'caught out' by poor refereeing decisions that appear to be costing us points and our own naivety.

I am sure most, if not all, the plays will give everything for the cause but our naivety could ultimately cost a place in the top league.

Swansea the strongest! They haven't scored a goal yet... I think you're the only person in the world who thinks that right now. Or maybe you're just hoping it?
 
They have two clean sheets under their belts and it's a miracle they didn't score against Sunderland, desperately unlucky.

Norwich look seriously shaky at the back.

Thai - it was a red card and pen, no question against Chelsea. You budgies really need to get that excuse out of your vocabulary. Even if you were hard done by it would only be evening out all the favourable decisions you got last season for Grant 'Klinsmann' Holt.

To be honest, there are people up and down the length and breadth of the country whose opinions are divided on whether a red card was warranted or not so for you to come along and say it was, is not going to change any minds so it is pointless coming back with that.

The penalty I will not dispute but it certainly showed our naivety.
 
Hi RBF, well, I've searched and searched again, but I'm buggered if I can find what Hampy's on about! Not surprising really when you take into account all the squit he's chuntered out about us this last week or so! Funny how he can predict our demise after 3 games, but if we counter-claim he rolls out the old cestnut "the season doesn't end until May!"

Well, Hampy, the same applies to your prediction, and the more you carry on, the more egg you'll have to wipe off your face next May.

Fine effort, RBF, obviously we'll stay up but the Tractors will run out of diesel at about half way up the Championship!

It's very early doors in the season, but IMO it's us, Swansea, QPR, Blackburn and Fulham who look like they could struggle. Fulham need to get a striker and some pace in their team. Probably be a 'more established' team as well down there at the end of the season. Swansea may have played some bright football but it so far hasn't got them very far, so i don't think they are in any better position than Norwich right now.
 
:cheesy:Hopefully we have got our chunk of crappy refs decisions out of the way for a while and we will float around the 12 to 16th positions for most of the season. Actually sitting in the trap door positions is stressful . Ipswich may make the play offs if they get it together but autos, nah not a chance
 
I think over a course of a season these things do tend to work themselves out so I'm quite hopefull that we are storing up our bank of bad errors and will cash in later in the season with a few marginal decisions in our favour... lets hope anyway! I'd rather get a bad decision away against Chelsea rather than one in a more winnable match. I know we looked capable of nicking it on Saturday, but in reality I think Chelsea would have upped a gear or three if we had gone ahead.

We will be in the relegation mix come the end of the season, but I really do believe we have an excellent chance of staying up, there are 6 or 7 teams who will be fighting it out and we are as good as any of them. Town on the other hand just look poor to me, i suspect they will spend a large part of the season looking over their shoulders. Interesting that there wasnt an option to vote for us staying up & Town dropping into League 1....think I might have gone for that one!
 
Graham Paddon clearly knows not much about Town then.

Anyhow cut out this nonsense about poor decisions. Let's face it if Walters had put that pen away you'd only have one point on the board. You're having your share of luck and there was no bad luck against Chelsea just a keeper who is not used to this playing against skillful Brazilians and dived in and missed the ball.
 
I may in the minority, but I'd like us to stay up and for our suffolk cousins to come up. It would be great to have a derby in the top league again, especially if we could condemn Paul Jewels shinning pearls to relegation!!
