If the old firm were only going to places like , Dunfermline , st mirren and Aberdeen once a season instead of two , it might encourage the home fans to turn up , espically if we got better kick off times and cheaper tickets.

    silly huns <doh>

He's not saying they need Rangers, what he saying is that, in order to dicuss league changes, they need to meet and discuss it with all 12 clubs including Celtic and Rangers - who have both been excluded from talks!

Listening to the CU podcast last week they discussed the rugby league super league deal with Sky that pisses all over the SPL deal and delivers poorer viewing figures. Maybe the answer is to build a clearly defined and distinguishable SPL product along the same lines.

I understand the collapse of Satan/IRA TV had a lot to do with the SPL having their hand forced a bit, but the deal has since been renegotiated. I am not necessarily against profit sharing, nor am I necessarily against teams negotiating their own deals (obviously every team needs an opponent). After all, I am a Celtic supporter, not a supporter of Scottish football. The NFL flourishes having more strong teams as Psycho and I touched on in another thread and therefore follows that there is merit in dividing money up equally to improve the product across the board. Equally, Celtic bring the most to the table, so why shouldn't we have the greatest share.

I haven't made my mind up, but I am happy that these things are being explored.
