16 points. Probably enough to stay up in 17th.

Our best hope for wins are the home games against Brighton, Stoke and Bournemouth. It's a tight league, win these and we've every chance of pulling other teams into the mire with us. Basically it's pretty much any 3 from the bottom twelve!

What's disappointing is that the team is capable of 9th-12th place. The number of games we've lost because we fanny around in our own third, lose the ball and concede is difficult to take. A good manager would have picked up on this and instructed the team to play a little more aggressively. Also, we really ought to play a pressing game when the conditions are wet and damp. Force the opposition into a few mistakes and take advantage.

If we go down, we'll lose about half our team, which'll make escaping from the Championship very difficult indeed. At least it'll give some of the academy a chance to shine.

Everton - A - 1-3 0pts
Man city - H - 0-4 0pts

14 points. That unless there is a personnel change. Yes the performance against spurs was good but we have seen this before (Everton win, UTD draw) and then we go back to being ****.

JWP said recently that Saints must stop playing defensively when a goal up, but must build on it. Didn't sound like the manager had told them to play this way, but more a case of the players reverting to the defensive mode as a habit. I think this started when we struggled to score....this removed all the players confidence. I know the fans picked up on a player saying early in the season that they had been told to think about defence even when they have the ball....but I see nothing odd in that...most managers would say that. I am absolutely sure that a couple of early wins would have improved how the team played subsequently.

Anyone else think that in May we’ll be looking back at this thread wondering what all the fuss was about?

Thought not...

Let's hope so Chilcs <ok>

As for the age thing I think it's fair to say that a lot of younger fans find it difficult but I believe there's a group of of older supporters, who having watched us be mediocre for the majority of their lives bought into the dream of regular European football and breaking the top clubs etc. And are now finding the reality that we'll never be a top club difficult to face.

I'm not going to try and predict every game as there's too many variables, for me they fall into 3 categories, so imo we need to find 4 or 5 wins from:

Brighton
Wba
Bournemouth
Stoke
Newcastle
Swansea
West Ham

Then you've got free hits in Arsenal and City.

Then we've got the rest to try and spring a surprise or two:

Chelsea
Liverpool
Everton
Burnley
Leicester

I'm a bit more positive than I was a few weeks ago and think we easily have what it takes to stay up and get the results and wins we need. However the devil on my shoulder keeps pointing out that our form against sides around us hasn't been brilliant and that is probably where we need to be getting our results to stay up.

Probably made a fortune for charity. Oldies would keep buying it remembering how they enjoyed Blake's Seven in the past, then realise it creaks and return it. Might as well keep it on a piece of elastic. However, mustn't forget that there are fashions in things and the same thing will happen to hot shows now.
Nothing made before or since Blake’s Seven can possibly have had such terrible acting though!

But surely it was the fact that it was just so crap first time round that gave it a cult following. We all kept watching believing that it must get better, and it never did! One of the few times when you can honestly say it was so awful it was addictive. Like Twin Peaks
