Not a snowflakes chance in hell under the current set up. Clock is ticking with transfers and to be honest can't see big spending from this board. Regardless of our good performance at the weekend I give the Saints only a 15% chance of staying up! Tick tock tick tock!

I think/hope we will win at home to Brighton and away to West Brom. Then I think we win home games to Stoke and Bournemouth and away at one of Swans/West Ham/Newcastle. The two draws could come from anywhere but I think we will get a win and a draw from the three away games I just mentioned and another draw against maybe Liverpool or a bigger side.

I've put heaps of thought into this while you all were sleeping. This is how it goes -

Brighton - H - 3 (2-0)
Wba - A - 3 (0-1)
Liverpool - H - 1 (0-0)
Burnley - A - 3 (1-0)
Stoke - H - 1 (1-1)
Newcastle - A - 3 (4-0)
Swansea - A - 1 (2-2)
West Ham - A - 3 (3-0)
Arsenal - A - 0 (0-4)
Chelsea - H - 1 (1-1)
Leicester - A - 0 (0-1)
Bournemouth - H - 3 (3-0)
Everton - A - 0 (0-1)
Man city - H - 3 (2-1)

25pts.

47pts end of season. 8th place.

Lotto numbers - 26, 22, 3, 30, 14, 7 powerball 8

Not sure what you base that on when so many teams are only a few points apart and our GD is better than most of them. I would put it 50:50 at my most pessimistic.

Think we'll be safe before the Man City game, which we will also win. The team will start to really gel in the next few games. A few bumps along the way, but basically enough to leave us all feeling optimistic for next season.

Then Everton will pinch Pellegrino, and we'll sell Bertrand, Gabbi, and Lemina, and it will be meltdown summer mk5

St.Kreuzberg is literally on the verge of a major breakdown. The lad can't handle his relegation fights, bless him.

LOL - Lad....haven't heard that for a long time! If I cared for the present Saints then perhaps I would be having a breakdown but unfortunately I feel so meh about the current board and owner that I think they deserve their just deserts. I watch Saints now game to game and want to see them do well but not like i used to, the screaming and shouting has been replaced by a general apathy. I have always been a loyal Southampton LAD but unfortunately that loyalty is not extended nor reciprocated back, so I'm left with a feeling of "yea whatever guys playing in my beloved strips to the board that spout ****e at every turn"

Far too pessimistic....I predict a few of your losses will be draws and I'm sure we will get more wins than that. After all Swansea beat Liverpool...why shouldn't we get the odd unexpected result. We have had close matches, but had no luck at all....so I could see us getting the odd win. I genuinely think we have the players....we need them to start playing to their potential....perhaps dropping into the zone will be just the fright they need. I would put the odds in the staying up side...say 63%.

Just out of interest (not that it means that much) but the bookies have 6 other clubs more likely to be relegated than us....our relegation odds vary between 4/1 and 5/1.

20 points.

Might seem a bit random but all very possible results which includes a good patch, a bad patch, a mediocre patch and a win against a big team out of the blue.

If we continued to perform the same for the remaining games as we have in the first 24....no better, no worse....we would have a dodgy 37 points. Does anyone seriously not expect us to do better than we have so far? *

*That is rhetorical....please keep your misery to yourself.<laugh>

I don’t know everyone's age group, but feel that the oldies are more meh about our situation than the younger ones.
Might be wrong, but having watched countless relegation battles in the past, I just go with the flow now.
More important things in life for me to get upset over.

As a wild generalisation, I think older people have been there before and got over it, so feel things less dramatically. Not that we care less, but we know that unless a team goes out of business there will usually be ups and downs. You have to learn to deal with disappointments and know that you will survive....a valuable life lesson.

Perhaps Saints are performing a valuable social service. :)

My age group remembers Channon, Keegan, and Ivan Golac ( my all time favourite Saint! ) Those glory Rank Xerox days. Also Standing by the bus stop with my home made banner celebrating the 76 cup final win. Guess I thought the players were more loyal to the club back then and really played for the shirt, these days they appear to be mercenaries just thinking about their wage packets. Sky money has done a lot for football, not all of it good.

More important things in life for me to get upset over. Strongly agree.

Also fair to remember that for the last 8 or 9 years we have constantly been on the up, so there will be fans in their late teens/early twenties who are only used to success. I remember being gutted in 2005 as the PL was all I had known as a fan and thought it was the end when we went down, I was also only 16 which probably played a part. Now if we go I won't be anywhere near as bothered.
