Wake me up when the season ends. We'll surely get A goal ? Town 1 Millwall.......... 2. New record. More doom / more gloom. I've been a big Mick inner as we know, however just stick him on gardening leave please. Zero point him still being here if off in the summer.
Almost forgot about today's game. 1-1 draw, as you said Westy, we've surely got to score? Can't go five games without a goal!
0-1 defeat Another drab affair, though with plenty of huff and puff in the second half, but no real danger of us registering a shot on target. Boos at the final whistle and plenty of animosity aimed toward the bench and the boardroom
One of our (Norwich) posters has stated this morning that Mick is a class act and too good for the likes of Ipswich> Thank God he doesn't hire our managers!
It's amazing how highly rated he is,but it's usually by people who haven't watched us play recently. The last one to spout the "be careful what you wish for" nonsense was Joe Royle who's opinion I usually respect.I'm sure there's an element of (ex)managers sticking together. One of his biggest critics is Mick Mills who does actually watch us on a regular basis and really has the best interests of the Club at heart.
Tell you what, like the looks of Carayol AND Celina BOTH starting.................. Sod it - Bobby Ferguson tribute, 2-1 town. COYB
Tell you what, with the ££££ you've given some idiots he'd have you absolute minimum top 5. Sure, the footy would be rubbish to watch / style of play very much a backseat however it's not snowboarding and you don't win points in this league for that. Give Mick Maddison, some of the talent you have this season and zero chance you'd be in the position you are.............
Me too SD til last 15! Sounds much more like it and hope the home crowd enjoyed it too. Bit of cheer on dull damp Easter Monday.
I bet Mick enjoyed that, proper blokes footie! Not bad, even if we did ride our luck a bit.Folami and Carayol put in good appearances but, oh dear,we were woeful at the back at times, right across all five.
Could it be the numbskulls were right all along? I defended Mick because he was starved of funds and trying to gain points by not losing matches, but that wasn't working months ago but rather than change the thinking he continued to bore the supporters who responded by staying away. MM seems to be the sort of person who refuses to be told even when it's obvious to a fool what the problem is, in fact the more calls there are for change the more he refuses to listen, is it arrogance? Ignorance? Both? I don't know but what I do know is that today we would have lost that game with boring negative tactics, but after half time we really gave everything to get back into it, what a shame our seasons nearly over and supporters missing in there thousands. I'm looking forward to a fresh start with a new manager and new players but above all a new tactical outlook.
It's a weird one indeed. I'm always of the opinion, be it Mick, anyone, if you're not going to be given £££ - the most likely way to get results is be a ruddy pain to play against unless you've got a very talented bunch. I guess this season we'll never know what we could have done had - Dids / Dozza / Huws in particular all stayed fit all season - however it's not happened..... At least Mick's left the new manager in a far better position than 1823981328312 loanees / mess central left by Jewell. Not sure we'll play open expansive stuff next but we'll see.
Just watched the highlights, how on earth did we not get a penalty for the that push in the back of Waghorn?
