    I am told Sunderland entered the Football League in 1890-91 in Div 1 and remained there until they were relegated in 1957/58- so 68 years as you said.

    You lot can be so 'effing depressing sometimes. It was an off day...we haven't had many this season. Only one team managed to sneak above us ( Villa played well against the Scousers mind - not quite as well we did). It's tight. We have a better squad, better manager & greater determination than last time...have another beer, a w**k or something to relax yourselves.
    Apologies Mrs. B_M_B for the naughty stuff, but this neg. vibe stuff drives me nuts. Where's the fridge ?

    I don't think their current spell in the top flight will last 68 years :)

    Of the current top flight teams, Everton and Arsenal are the two that have been there the longest.
