I am told Sunderland entered the Football League in 1890-91 in Div 1 and remained there until they were relegated in 1957/58- so 68 years as you said.
You lot can be so 'effing depressing sometimes. It was an off day...we haven't had many this season. Only one team managed to sneak above us ( Villa played well against the Scousers mind - not quite as well we did). It's tight. I don't think their current spell in the top flight will last 68 years Of the current top flight teams, Everton and Arsenal are the two that have been there the longest.
Stop worrying. All is good as long as we stay in the PL which we will do. The rest does not matter if we do.
