From 11pm tonight the results should start coming in, I don't know if the count in the uk has already been DONE AND JUST THE RESULTS ANNOUNCED... but voting in other parts of Europe is still going on at this moment!
With no exit polls it is any ones guess who has actually Got what in the UK …. WHAT IS APPARENT though is should the BREXIT party get more than 40% of the vote it will become very interesting how many seats they will get …. (see table I POSTED on another thread on how it works )
    40% of the vote would give them 40% ...20% … 13.34% …. 10% ….. 8% … 6.67%
with 10% of the vote likely going to independants of 3 or more per area that leaves 50% to be shared by the Greens ..Lib Dems … Labour … Conservatives an average of 12.5% each … assumption is Labour might get 16% [( various) average of different sources ] so just 34% between 3! so in a 5 seat area Brexit will get 3 …
could finish with more than 30 of the 73 seats more like just 24 !!!!

it is very difficult to understand if you just look at it ...lol .. however as per the example I posted on the other site IT IS VERY SIMPLE ONCE YOU GET PAST THE FIRST SEAT …!!!!
OBVIOUSLY the highest " party a" of the poll gets first seat but in doing so all their voters [total percent of the vote] is divided by 2.
after this action all candidates line up again with their percent polled and go for seat 2 the highest might not be the candidates who won the first seat as their % is halved! [ unless their lead was more than double the lot that came second! ] eg top of poll 40% second 18% etc etc ]
so second seat goes to "party b" who then have their poll halved
line up again "team a " find themselves with their halved % of the poll back as highest so get the third seat … BUT THEY then have their total poll divided by 3 to start round for the fourth seat
AT THIS POINT maybe "party c" with their original % is top of the pile so get a seat and their poll% is halved....
etc etc etc etc etc ….

John. May I politely remind you that this is a football forum dedicated to all things Bristol City. This is not the correct place for you to espouse your political beliefs and wishes any more than your Religious, Sexual or Xenophobic attitude should be shared. Please keep it BCFC. Just saying.

that anne Widecombe has it nailed on ..

9 seats / areas to come and Brexit have 28 so could well exceed my forcast of a max of 31 but wont make the 35 .. a absolute majority ..
Is this a a real shake up for UK politics .. will the next GE result in 4 / 5 partys? needing to form coalitions … CORBYN'S NAILED ON constituency annihilated … TM severely dented ...

green party confirms they stood for climate change but also are in for remain …s so their "success" has to be taken in the context of those that voted having a singular strong inclination to Brexit or climate change ..

well the dust has settled and we now enter the maelstrom of dog eat dog Campbell kicked out ...for voting against the dictatorial wish's of his party.. and now has support of a number of likeminded Labour MP's who admit to doing the same in previous elections [ how many other labour party members didn't vote for them this time round ? will they all be kicked out also? no, why? because they pay in their annual subs and to do so would be costing them money. [ so Alistair Campbell becomes the sacrificial lamb as a warning to others toe the line or you face the wrath of Corboliks ]

Dawn Butler the one that always sits to the left of Corboliks with a face like a slapped horses bu* along with Abbot and Thornberry are just six of about 6 or so that seem to be the mouth piece of Corboliks stating vote for a referendum … [ it seems even more likely a GE WONT TAKE PLACE till 2021 and they need something to remain ...no pun intended .. in the public eye …]

Tories .. more than a dozen have pretentions of being next PM .. who WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE …..

EU up for grabs is 2 of the top posts in the Brussels administration …
French President Emmanuel Macron looked certain to protest the replacement of European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker with German politician Manfred Weber.
Merkel has her own opinion as biggest party they should stand by WEBER …. HOWEVER her EU group and the also the 2nd biggest took a battering … and massive changes could result from future EU business …. The European Parliament will be more heterogeneous than before, so finding a majority and reaching compromise will be a serious challenge

Besides commission president, other big roles that need to be filled later this year include the head of the European Parliament and the European Central Bank (ECB), the bloc's foreign policy chief and the head of the European Council. ..
these are major roles that the EU MEP's do not get an opportunity to propose .. the unelected get to do most of that …
timeline for this is .. OCTOBER 31 we come out ? … but these new posts start on November the 1st...
some notes on the EU election...
Nearly 51% of the 400 million eligible voters cast their ballots, 8 percent more than the previous election in 2014.

Campaigning against climate policy, school-striking teenagers and the urge to defend the EU against euroskeptic, right-wing populist parties appear to have mobilized voters.[ uk basically Brexit just greens on 2 other main items with Brexit trailing as an after thought?]

In Italy, the right-wing League of Interior Minister Matteo Salvini won the most votes, and in France the National Rally party of Marine Le Pen came out on top. "Macron had really tried to use his own political weight, to prevent Le Pen and her party coming out in front. And he did not manage to do it,"
