110 million pounds profit. Thats what kenny dogleash has spent this season, I think it,ll all end in tears for dogleash.
Biggest club in terms of fans maybe, but we are still lagging behind Real, Barca and Bayern in terms of merchandising and commercial revenue. That's one of the reasons the Glazers bought the club - the year before they took over our commercial revenue was around £41 million of which around £22 million came from Nike and £13 million from Vodafone. Now it's over £110 million of which around £25 million comes from Nike and £20 million from AIG, with a further £10 million from DHL for the training kit and umpteen other global sponsors, partners and so on. And we're still around £40 million behind Bayern and £20 million behind Real, with a new kit deal to be negotiated next year, so there is still massive growth potential for us in this area. Scary thoughts for our rivals
This isn't completely true. Nor is it frightening. What's more scary is your current team. They look really strong. No true football fans gives an ish about the balance sheet.
I disagree. A healthy balance sheet means money can be invested in players, facilities and the club which leads to better performances which leads to more success. Like it or not but in the modern game healthy balance sheets are linked to on field success.
Dogleash. Can you come up with something a little original? If Man United are so healthy in terms of cash reserves, why didn't they sign Snjeider. There is a simple reason for this. If they were going to pay Snjeider £250k a week, that would put Wayne Rooneys nose out of joint, as this is just a rumour nobody can earn more than him. Rooney then would have to be given a pay-rise, something which Manchester United cannot afford. So if United fans want to blame anyone for their failure to sign Snjeider, the blame lies with Rooney.
