Well why would Cheick go to Chelsea?

They've already got Essien who will obviously be picked over Tiote when he gets back to fitness, and they've already got Mikel as a back up CDM.

Tiote will be a bench warmer, and he's not the sort that would leave to become one of them.

Tiote left a CL club to come to us because he was only considered back up for his old side, where as at our club he pretty much walks into the team whenever he's fit.

 

Essien may well be finished though. Injuries are catching up, had two or three serious ones now. Tiote is far better than Mikel quite simply. You shouldn't doubt Cheik, he'd force his way in to Arsenal, Man U or Chelsea for me. Lucas is playing out of his skin for Liverpool, Parker for Spurs and Toure for City so maybe those three would not interest him. But Barry gets plenty games and with them playing two holders, toure being his teammate, then City is not out of the question. We have to accept we have one, possibly two with Cabaye, top four players playing in our midfield. If they want them they will take them unless Ashley refuses to sell or makes the deal too rich.

 

What would concern me is the fact that Tiote is easily better than Lucas and Parker. Flash the cash and the size of the city becomes irrelevant.

 

Tiote will not be back up to any top 6 club. He is a beast and will an automatic starter. Hope he stays.

 

Don't know about easily better mind. he certainly would not displace Parker this season, he has been superhuman. You know you've been good when me, me, me VDV is raving about you, saying your their best player as opposed to himself! If you offered me the three, I'd take Cheik, but I don't think they'd drop Parker or Lucas for him. Lucas was excellent again yesterday. I'm not sure you should be allowed to start him, Bellamy and Kuyt in the same unless its halloween though.
