Just an update for those who might care... Bolt has beaten gatlin again to win the 200m final and makes it yet another double!!!
It was great, the man's a legend. He hadn't run sub 20 seconds prior to the championships. If he'd run through the line he would have finished sub 19.5. He's entered 11 events across four World Championships and won 10 of them. The eleventh was a 100metres that he was disqualified in when the false start rules were very harsh. Legend.
Sorry quoted wrong post. Just to clarify I think kenya are doing great and have always had a soft spot for them in athletics terms since the epic battles between Yobes Ondieki and eamon Martin over 5k and 10k. I also think Jarmila Kratichilitovasteroidilova looks a bit like roger daltrey
A strange even triple jump. .. I've never looked up its history but wondered if it was rooted in hopscotch In general most all events you can see the throwback to antiquity that one has always been a bit of a weird one to me along with the walking.... enforced inefficient tortuous non running. All adds to the color of the sport though
you can gtet a long jump... nautre tells us the guys who can jump furthest might have an advantage.. like in the animial kingdom. you can get the fastest runner again same story. but fast walking breaks every rule of the animal kingdom and only humans would torture themselves with a gait unsuited to the speed they wish to move at. A horse would not walk when it can trot (balotelli pace) of walk when it can canter (rest of lfc team) or walk when it can gallop (RHC heading for the cheese at 5pm on a friday)
It's all a lie ... they're all doped and drugged to the gills. That segway riding journalist has obviously been on some sort of downers and alcohol, maybe tranquillisers who knows ?!
