Interesting Eddie.

Perhaps more significant was Cecil saying that if she didn't go for the Guineas she would be heading for the Coronation at RA,presumably skipping Epsom altogether.

Stiff mile at Ascot could suit, but still, for me, 10f standing on her head.

I notice she has an Oaks Entry but no Coronation entry?

Maybe they dont fancy the Oaks now? Just saying I heard they thought she was a potential Oaks filly, and after seeing her during the week, I can see why.

Just checked the betting for the Oaks and she is 10/1 second fav, so I cant be the only one.

Once I joined a brand new running club down the local park. There were a few of us that joined at once, all from other running clubs. I'd say maybe 8 or 9 in total. We all enjoyed race running, we weren't overly good but we tried. None of us had ever won a race we discovered. There was one girl who really looked the part though. She was the daughter of some local running champion or something and she too joined for our first meet/race. Rather than joining from some pathetic local club like us she was from a well regarded running club in another city. She hadn't done much of note in that club but it had some very good runners. Plus she was a young lass, getting faster and still learning the ropes to be fair. As we set off we all settled down to a pretty stiff pace. After a couple of laps of the park one or two were starting to feel it, 24 stone Carol in particular was only just managing to go with us. By the time we set off on the 4th and final lap we were all gasping for air. All except one of us, the girl. Her face was expressionless and she seemed to be cruising but she was still only 5th in the race! As we headed to the final 600m or so it looked like it was going to be a close finish. Someone would be breaking their duck, perhaps me? But then this girl, Cath, angled wide and skipped clear like the rest of us were in quicksand or something. It was a joy to behold, I've never seen anything like it in my experiences of local running club. Steve, who finished 2nd and is 78 years old hadn't either. Sure enough me and the lads got talking over our all you can eat Chinese that night (turns out we all love a couple of takeaways a week and it's now tradition that we go for food and a few beers after running club) and we said she has to go for the City Park Run championship. Yes it's a few levels up, bringing together winners of all local park running clubs but this girl was special in my experience. It had been only my 3rd go at running club but the winners of the other 2 weren't like her. We knew she couldn't be beat so we entered her and said we thought she should give it a crack. So she did and she was ****ing ****.

Moth has beaten nothing in my opinion.

You can all stop trying now.

This wins.

The Guineas is all hype and hope, especially so for the fillies. So I've decided to swallow the hype from Hills. It's not like the yard wouldn't know a goodun when they see one. Form doesn't mean a lot in this race, Charlie Hills' opinion does. Just The Judge, big bet.

If its a huge field hot snap and certify have no chance ! If there is less than 12 they will be the first two home ! Don't rule moth out of she is even supplemented to run ! Viztoria will go well but my money ash been on a star is born

Certify can't run

Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni to face BHA hearing after serious irregularities discovered in samples from horses including Certify

Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni is to attend a British Horseracing Authority (BHA) disciplinary inquiry after serious irregularities were found in samples taken from horses in his care at Moulton Paddocks, Newmarket.

Following an inspection of Zarooni's stable by officials from the BHA, traces of prohibited substances were discovered in a number of the horses tested, including Certify. The BHA has advised that, as a result, the filly will not be allowed to take part in the QIPCO 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket next month.

Al Zarooni has admitted that he was responsible for the administration of the prohibited substances.

Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said: "This is a dark day for Godolphin. We are all shocked by what has happened".

"His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was absolutely appalled when he was told and this is completely unacceptable to him. We will await the outcome of the BHA inquiry before taking any further internal action.

"Sheikh Mohammed has instructed me to begin an urgent review of all of our procedures and controls. That is already underway and we will take advice from the BHA in completing it."

Al Zarooni said: "I deeply regret what has happened. I have made a catastrophic error. Because the horses involved were not racing at the time, I did not realise that what I was doing was in breach of the rules of racing. I can only apologise for the damage this will cause to Godolphin and to racing generally."

No further comment will be made pending the completion of the BHA investigation and inquiry

11 Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained horses suspended following positive test results

As part of the 'testing in training' sampling programme conducted by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), on 9th April 2013 samples were obtained from 45 horses trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni at Moulton Paddocks Stables. This afternoon the BHA has received written advice from the Horseracing Forensic Laboratory that upon analysis 11 of these samples had present in them prohibited substances as laid out below:

Ethylestranol:
Desert Blossom
Certify
Fair Hill
Ghostflower
Orkney Island
Sweet Rose
Valley Of Queens

Stanozolol:
Artigiano
Bathrat Amal
Opinion Poll
Restraint Of Trade

Adam Brickell, Director of Integrity, Legal and Risk for the BHA, said:

"Ethylestranol and stanozolol are anabolic steroids and therefore Prohibited Substances under British Rules of Racing, at any time - either in training or racing. Mahmood Al Zarooni has been advised of the analysts' findings and has been visited by an Investigating Officer.

"A Disciplinary Panel enquiry into the analysts' findings will take place at the first available opportunity, confirmed details of which will follow when available. The horses which have produced positive tests will also not be permitted to race with immediate effect and for an extended period of time. As part of the ongoing process a decision will be made as to what period this suspension will be imposed for.

"The BHA understand the importance of this process being carried out as quickly as possible because of implications for betting markets.”

All roided up. If he's been using this since he started training all his wins are tainted.

Certify is out of the 1000 Guineas

GODOLPHIN trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni faces a BHA disciplinary hearing after admitting being in breach of the rules of racing following the discovery of anabolic steroids in samples taken from a number of his horses including top-class filly Certify.

The unbeaten Group 1 winner will not now be allowed to run in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket on May 5 for which she was a 7-1 fourth favourite.

"This is a dark day for Godolphin," said racing manager Simon Crisford.

Following an inspection of Al Zarooni's stables at Moulton Paddocks in Newmarket by officials from the BHA, traces of prohibited substances were discovered in a number of the horses tested, including Certify.

Al Zarooni, winner of the world's richest race thanks to Monterosso's 2012 Dubai World Cup victory, has admitted that he was responsible for the administration of the prohibited substances.

Crisford said: "We are all shocked by what has happened. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was absolutely appalled when he was told and this is completely unacceptable to him."

Godolphin said it would will await the outcome of the BHA inquiry before taking any further internal action.

"Sheikh Mohammed has instructed me to begin an urgent review of all of our procedures and controls," added Crisford. "That is already underway and we will take advice from the BHA in completing it."

In a statement, Al Zarooni said: "I deeply regret what has happened. I have made a catastrophic error. Because the horses involved were not racing at the time, I did not realise that what I was doing was in breach of the rules of racing. I can only apologise for the damage this will cause to Godolphin and to racing generally."

Fooooook me that's hammer news <yikes>

They should scrap Godolphin as a bad idea and go back to having Sheikh Mohammed's runners spread around the top trainers and running in maroon and white again, not that fecking insipid blue.

Send them back to Henry. I wouldn't trust a rocking horse in the care of those two at Godolphin and to think Sheikh Mohammed actually takes horses away from Andre Fabre to give to Al Zarooni. Comical...

Al Zarooni isn't a bad trainer, he's trained the likes of Blue Bunting, Monterroso, Encke and Rewilding to G1 wins in the last few seasons. It's Bin Suroor who's the useless one

And Saeed Bin Suroor trained Dubai Millenium, Lammtarra, Dubawi, Daylami, Fantastic Light etc. I think anyone with that kind of ammunition can do well in the training game weather your actually any good or not. If your resorting to injecting anabolic steroids in your horses you cant be that much kop can you? And is it the first time?
