Clarkson might come across as a right dick, but he does a massive load of really good things for charities. He's a good man, but acts like a twat.
Surprisingly it was 2009. Petrol was not only sub £1 litre but less then 90p Oil prices collapsed in the wake of the financial crisis.
Now there's a potential topic for debate : "Man-made" global warming vs "cow-made" global warming ? Think I'll put that in my pipe & smoke it...
My Godfather went to school with Clarkson and they still speak. He's a great guy apparently, albeit a little opinionated. But that's all part of the Clarkson way. Same reason I like David Mitchell. He's really funny and his comedy is intelligent. Peep Show is ****ing genious.
Eh? What's he got to do with it? I cant think of 2 people more polar opposite than Mitchell and Clarkson!
I haven't met either of them but I'd imagine Hammond to be nice and Clarkson to be a ****er. I'd imagine James May to be one of those 'sat in a corner nestling a pint of bitter' types.
Just that they're both opinionated and outspoken and both have a dry sense of humour, which I like in my comedy. Incidentally, two more opposite people would be Neil Buchannan and Che Guevara. Or Herbert Hoover and Paul Scholes. Or Dimitri Mendelev and Gary Rhodes.
It's British Petroleum. And while the largest single shareholder is an American investment firm, more shares are owned by british (40%) than any other nationalities, it's headquarters are in London, and I believe it's run by british people. Therefore I would call it british. At least, it's more british than it is anything else.
