I've sometimes wondered why they have to have such long, convoluted and awkward greetings to each other, for instance. Western speak: "Hello, mate." Muslim speak: "Wallahi brother it is so good to see you, you are completely awesome Mashallah..!! May that nice pink shirt you are wearing lead to many successful marriages and lots of sons but no daughters, Allah willing, peace be unto him." And when they depart: Western speak: See yer later, mate." Muslim speak: "Brother Wallah I will miss you. I will miss you so much I will cry myself to sleep but I will dream of you Allah willing. I will wish we will reunite tomorrow bit if not we will reunite during the festival of Jannatul Mout'allashan. Or maybe the day after that, if Allah permits. Inshallah" And people on here tell me I'm long winded..!!
