How is this possible? the ball boys get more than 10% possession.

I thought you lot were going to do alright after seeing your signings but 12 goals against in 2 days. Seems like Porno Jewell is a bit clueless.

I know im not supposed to say the 'N' word on here but didnt they get a 7-1 thrashing and end up getting promoted.

<laugh> Guru <ok> It's funny because it's true. We did far better when we let them have the ball and packed the penalty area than letting Leadbitter give it away or haplessly watch it bounce instead of clearing.

Whats the first things you say to kids when defending "Don't let it bounce!" What the **** did we keep doing! <doh> Its just basic stuff, my 13 year old who is a decent right back was screaming each time "Don't let it bounce!"

You're right and the other stats paint an equally devastating picture of things, as follows:

Possession: Posh 90% ITFC 10%
Attempts on target: Posh 14 ITFC 3
Attempts off target Posh 10 ITFC 1
Corners Posh 11 ITFC 1
Fouls Posh 2 ITFC 10
Players left at 90 mins: Posh 11 ITFC 9

Simple way to stop letting the ball bounce, PJ make a note of how many times a player does it, then in the warm up for the next match the guilty player stands on the goal line and have footballs punted at their heads by a certain few lucky supporters!

should stop those schoolboy errors quite quickly.

As Beattie pointed out the other night we are not getting beaten by superb play but just fundamental basic mistakes in defending. The Centre backs are far too far apart and defending too high up the pitch especially against peterborough who are quick on the break. Our midfield isn't putting any pressure on the ball and tackling to win back possession and we aren't winning any second balls! This is all BASIC STUFF so why can't our defenders actually learn this. They are supposed to be professional footballers and yet my lad who plays is basically telling them how to defend!

It's a little bit worse than that - our midfield is not just failing to pressure, Leadbitter is handing them the ball time after time and saying 'there you go, have a run at our defence'.
