All will be leaving this summer, obviously some we know about already. None of them are being offered contracts, and are due to run out this summer.

I think it's just the contracts that are expiring, from what I can see we are not offering a new contract to any of the players which were close to expiration.

Fox still has two years left on his contract, he signed a new one early in the season. That doesn't mean he won't be sold.

Jackson will always have a place in our history, his goals towards the end of the 2010-2011 season probably made the difference between promotion and not. Tierney is a pity - not sure what went wrong with him, he looked a very good player indeed in the first half of last season.

Sorry to see some of them go, especially Korey, as he was my son's favourite player.
Good luck to them all and hopefully they'll all find a new club and contract.

Got to feel for Korey, was in the team in league one, had 3 stagnant years at us with the odd loan. Really hope he finds a club, I'm sure Jacko will be fine finding a top championship club as with Ward and Camp getting something. Always a bit sad to see players not make it at a team but thats not their fault just the club ascended too quickly for them

Given that it sounds like Vaughan will go too. We only have RVW, Holt & Becchio upfront.
Pretty much confirms we will have another striker coming in.

This is exactly what I hoped and expected to happen. A swift chop of the axe to cut loose a bit of the deawood. Dont get me wrong, I thank each and every one of them for their services (especially Jackson). However, none of the above group are good enough for the premier league and it does no1 any good to have unhappy and unused players hanging around when they could be playing regular Championship, league 1 or league 2 football.

As Bath says, its exciting that we are probably facing the prospect of a new striker coming in!

I expect Vaughan, Fox, Surman, Barnett and Rudd to be sold as well.

In: striker, winger, DM, CB, LB and Attacking CM.

Sad to see some players who got us promoted go (tierney, ward, Jackson) but we must move on
Also the younger ones going, but I don't think any of them will be premier league quality

The other thing about this, although obvious, worth mentioning is that it gets a huge lump of "deadwood" off our balance sheet. Harsh, but true. I know Ward's wages were probably covered in part by Forest, I doubt it was in full.

Say the average wage of this group is £4k a week (the average wage of a Championship player- so given a few youth team players and a few with promotion uplifts, may well be quite close) that would be enough to cover two new players amongst our top earners (£20k pw each).

Sad to see Jacko go will always remember the Derby goal and the Pompey one too but mainly the way he tore Manure apart in our first PL season, I think he is PL quality just never got a run to prove it
also sad to see Mad Tierney go will never forget his cartwheels when we got promoted

Ever onward !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bring on Biliga

I think Jacko's problem is that he works well in an striking duo, but increasingly the move in the PL seems to be to just one striker, with support from midfield. Very few teams really play with 2 out-and-out strikers any more.
