Not sure if anyone knew but it has been a whole year since Pardew was sacked.

So how does everyone sum up Adkins after what they have seen of him in just under a year ?

I think he has given this club a great lift. He is such a great guy to be around and talk to. He always comes over from the dug out before the game and is a very nice chap. Back to football anyway, he is starting to get the passing game to work effectivly, which is good.
 
adkins is a breath of fresh air - although the adkinsisms get on my tits somewhat!

good signings (90% of them anyway), honest manager, good passing game going, great team spirit
 
He's absolutely brilliant!

Admittedly, I was furious when Pardew was sacked but Cortese has been proved right.

I honestly believe he's the best manager in the Championship and I've just got this vision that he will manage Liverpool one day having guided Saints into Europe.

We play beautiful football, we have a great squad, a super chairman, money, fantastic fans and it won't be long before we're back in the big time.

Together as one. <laugh>

He is going nowhere,he will build our club up alongside Cortese.
 
Is there any doubt that Adkins has earned his spurs at this level.........I don't think so!?
He has got the team playing as a team and for each other.....something we have missed for a while. You have to remember the core of the team have played together for the best part of 2.5 seasons. That in it's self is worth a few points on it's own per season. With out the intervention of the manager and his tactics. Saints are beginning to shine there is no doubt. My biggest worry is that the further up the playing ethos we go the more of the originals will drop out. Unfortunately that too is one of footballs crueler sides. Some of the players we have now will not be able to play at the highest level or at least maintain a place, and for us fans there will no doubt be shocks and disappointments regarding these. Still lets make hay while the Sun shines.....COYS
 
Adkins has now been in charge for 45 league games, in which we have earned an incredible 100 points, that is 2.22 points per game. That speaks for itself in terms of success, but he is also, as has been said already, such an engaging personality, even including the cliches. He is well on his way to being a Saints legend and could end up being our best-ever manager.

Maybe? Got some way to go to match Ted Bates and McMenemy- still, it's looking good so far!
