Dunno about being inherently racist but mankind is certainly tribal. We like organise ourselves into tribes, packs, groups, gangs, etc. Religion and nationality being two obvious examples.

 

I saw the statistics for this yesterday and Scotland and London scored lowest on the racism scale. No surprise that it is these two areas where UKip scored their lowest share of the vote.

This is true. Most of us, however, belong to several overlapping and often contradictory tribes. For instance I'm a roman catholic but, being English and therefore quite civilised, I have no ****ing time for rosary rattling papists.
