True enough. It's early days, though, you look a decent side, just a bit weak up front (same as us). We've got a really solid spine, just no killer instinct up front. I'd take ugly wins all day long if it keeps us up. Good luck for the rest of the season (apart from our return at Carrow Road obviously) - hopefully that Vanilla Ice bloke will be better for you than he was today
I don't think you watched the game. Even with ten men we weren't worse than you. Redmond was by far your best player and then you took him off? The referee wasn't entirely in our favour, how you only had 1 yellow card is beyond me.
Well, something we believed last season ,and it may be the same this season is that we are not actually weak up front, it is the supply from midfield that is not good enough. When everything falls in to place, we can match or beat anyone in the league (as can any other team I suspect), but it doesn't happen often enough. Curiously enough, our points tally against teams in the bottom half of the PL last season was little better than it was against the teams in the top half. Somehow, we played better against the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, man C, Spurs, Everton, Swansea, WBA and took a lot of point s off them, but when it came to QPR, Wigan, Sunderland, Newcastle, Fulham etc, we struggled to scrape 1 point at home, never mind the away games Could be more of the same this time.
I said in another thread that Hull deserve some credit, you held your shape nicely and was tough to break through. But like us, I think you'll struggle scoring many goals. Think understandably all NCFC are feeling disappointed at the moment, we all felt this is a game we shouldn't have lost, sure the Hull City supporters would've felt the same. But congrats on the win
aha - a converted member, good luck with the brand name bringing in untold riches by the way, this getting in to the Asian market mularky - it has worked wonders for QPR
lets be honest,we were crap today. the worst of it is for 70 mins against 10 men we could not even create a chance, let alone score. and hull are a poor team. r.v.w should have thrived in that situation, but did not. maybe things will be better when we have hooper avalible, but we need to improve big time, and fast. i still think we will do ok this season, but much better teams lie in wait
As soon as I saw the starting line up and formation, I could see how this game would go. Nothing learnt from last season. Very negative, very boring, no ideas in attack. pathetic. Chrissy have wasted a lot of money, because I love the players he bought, but whats the point when you set up your team, as he does. Really Angry as last season was appalling, but we stayed up, so fair enough. But we arn't moving forward. Same old rubbish. I don't know what hes thinking, and why he only knows how to try and sit back and get everyone behind the ball, he has not a clue about attacking teams. This will be another long, boring , depressing worrying season.
Calling Hull City a poor team and a ''pub'' team is being a little disrespectful and make us sound a bit arrogant. We're not some big team who think we should automatically win these games, we're on the same level as them. I'm feeling disappointed and annoyed we didn't get anything, but that's football. We'll move onto the next game and hopefully do better.
like i said,we were crap today, but things are not that bad! the club have been positive and spent, give the new players a bit of time. i think rvw hooper and redmond are all quality, but i agree they need to get their arse in gear quick. ch is a sound manager. its to early for that much gloom!
no disrespect, you defended well with 10 men today, and deserved the win. but in premiership terms you are a poor team,as you will find out over the season
We can blame the ref all we like but the truth is for all the money spent this window the main problem still exists....Hughton ! We clearly lack a midfield general who can influence a match and his teams away from home are always looking to not loose rather than win a match. His inability to use subs to influence a game is still clear and I know I'll get slated but we will not progress under his negative tactics. You could give him Bale and he'd play him him at full back !!! Sorry if this upsets anyone but I'm so frustrated with the start to the season.
they were not given much to shout about were they? our away crowd are well known for good vocal support
It's easy to put all the blame on Hughton, I'm not quite prepared to jump on that bandwagon just yet. Only complaint on the subs would be not taking Tettey off sooner, but other than that, they were fine. The starting 11 should have done better, if it wasn't for that penalty we would have gotten that point or perhaps sneaked in the winner, I felt we deflated a bit after going 1 nil down and the ref stopping the game a lot slowed down the flow of football. Think people have forgotten last weeks game when we wasn't as bad, quick to moan when we lose, but never quick to praise when we do well.
Just think your fans could have given your team abit of incouragement, none of them seemed to believe in the players even against 10 men for so long.
