I thought as soon as I read that Van Dyke signed for 75m Southampton would immediately try and sign Pontus and if a 20m was offered would AR accept it .I think he would which would put us back on the back foot as he is our talisman.
No wonder we are after the guy from Porto its all very well selling our best players but we have not replaced Taylor Green and Wood yet how can TC possibly get us into the promised land without big investment
I would also like to wish Matt well how did you go on at the hospital yesterday Mike

As with all the others that have gone Mike, if Southampton want Pontus they simply offer him 50k a week and he’s off

Morning Mike. I'm gonna be here to the weekend pal. Not going as well as hoped.

Realistally if we were offered 17 to 20m should the club accept it?

In the real world he is not worth more than £5mill (average centre half with good PR) but as we have a paper thin squad with very little quality you can forget any remote prospect of a promotion if he goes.

Sell him and I was right about Radellino all along and if he goes saiz will be off to seville too!.

Good morning Mike,
A much better breakfast thread than the malingering workshy nancyboy usually manages.
The gig is yours permanently if you want it.
We need to prepare for him kicking the bucket and you seem like the long term answer..

Very true. If the offer came and if Pontus decides he wants to go then all the club can do is get the best price for him. All we can hope is that Pontus believes we can be promoted because Southampton could still go down.

A very good point. I wasn't happy after reading Eire's post as he was spot on - but you're right, the possible predicament of Southampton is about the only hope we have left. Otherwise, if they want him, they've got him. Might go some way towards explaining the CB signing mentioned earlier, plus tying up Pennington. Worrying, without a doubt.

Transfer windows will always bring us more stress than joy WJ as long as we’re stuck in championship. A note of positivity, we will soon have a transfer war chest as big as wingers at arsenal. That should satisfy some

Doesn't sound too good, matey, but you're in the best place to cope. Just wondering if they've got you wired up to a heart monitor etc? If so, you could have a bit of sport to amuse yourself. Quite simple - just have a **** & see how long it takes the crash team to get to you once the alarms go off. You could award a prize to the fastest team when you leave! <whistle>

Oh, hang on. Just realised who I'm talking to here - I'm only kidding! Don't!!! :D
