I’ve been thinking it might be fun to play some correspondence games. The best example of these has to be in ‘The Radio Ham’, an episode of Hancock’s Half-Hour.

Tony is a new proponent of amateur radio.

“Seems ages since I had a natter with old Yoko Suji in Tokyo. I wonder how his wife is, what was her name?: 'Radiant Flower of the Divine Heavens'. I wonder if her feet are still playing her up?”

And he starts contacting people across the world, playing increasingly less likely games across the radio with them. It starts with chess, plausible. Then we get poker (hence the thread title), pretty implausible... I can’t remember the others.

Anyway, I thought this thread could be a vehicle for that sort of thing. Games of chess are obvious, and very welcome. But I wonder if we can become obscure; for instance, what about Monopoly?! Anyway, I’ll leave it to you.

No - it's actually 'real time'. Lunch time for her is late evening for them, late evening for her is breakfast time for them.
