I know zero other than we’ve started negotiating a full time deal for Amos in January. So I’d be surprised if a deal was imminent because they are making plans for January seemingly.
Bad English, but I’m jet lagged so forgive me. I’ll ask the Q to my bosses tomorrow also. Amos would be a free before people kick off. I also think a bit of stability in that position could only be of benefit. Just my opinion.
You saw the response I had over WhatsApp. He says he’s heard nothing”....yet”. And it’s 99% likely it’s not that close as KM has meetings booked next week which carries a financial impact on the club in the short and long term future. No it’s not Will Grigg If that changes I’ll throw it up. Ricks sources could be from the ‘potential’ buyers and they are using him as a outlet to put pressure on the club, but due diligence suggests they’ve either had an offer accepted or RD has performed DD on them and knows they aren’t wasting their time. I won’t call BS. But unless he’s incredibly close to an individual/party and has seen information that is incredibly sensitive - so much so, that the club aren’t shifting current engagements with 5 days notice - then, be sceptical.
You know my source. This isn’t me starting a battle of “contacts”, but I hope you agree, he’s pretty solid. I just don’t want fans to get their hopes up. That’s always been my main gripe.
Too late for CL, where excitement is at fever pitch. As far as they're concerned it's deal doneand trebles all round.
I really hope he’s right and not leading us all on. That will show you the measure of the man. When he’s had concrete info he’s been happy to publish it. If it is true and it falls through, I hope he respects journalistic integrity by providing further information. Let’s rememver Koc Holdings. Otherwise CAFC fans were a pawn in a larger game.
For sure. I don’t doubt his credentials in certain circles. I’ve never liked Rick, as a lot of information he put out against a former CEO was not only inaccurate but purposely spiteful. Then, not many saw through him as he still held a position at the club (now think why his court case wasn’t simplistic as previously divulged). He was previously wrong in regards to a takeover. But again - he could have been fed bad information - however, going to press again without being certain should represent a lack of credibility. Just my two cents.
Contacts are interchangeable. He has to be certain on this to take it to press, so hope he’s right. But.. a big but, individuals who knew people from years previous may not carry the same weight in their words. They may, but I believe you’re only as good as your last “break”. Our industry is full of people living off past glories. As I said, many times, I just hope the news is accurate for every CAFC fan out there. Otherwise we’re all a pawn in a bigger picture.
The information given to Everitt has come from four different sources. Any Takeover would have to be cleared through the ex directors who have a charge on the Club.
Whisper that quietly Dick, people on here reckon Everitt knows f*** all! "Ricky Everitt's Red n White army"
We didn’t say that. I’m driven by the fact I don’t want CAFC fans to have their hopes up. If he’s right I’ll stand corrected. If he’s not, I’ll say nothing.
Rick Everitt has expanded the previous statement. http://www.votvonline.com/home/the-2017-18-blogs/20-10-charlton-takeover-at-advanced-stage/
