RULES

Choose your driver pairing(s) before the deadline.

1. Choose a tier (your first is free)
2. Choose your '+' driver from that tier
3. Choose a '–' driver from the same tier
4. Players from round 13 who do not pick a new driver pairing or buy any add-ons will have their choices from Italy carried over to Singapore
5. The points scored by your '–' driver will be subtracted from the points scored by your '+' driver to give you your score for the race
6. If you have enough points you may use them to 'buy' a second tier (20 pts each)
6b. If you have more than enough points you may use them to 'buy' a rather smart points booster (see Add-ons thread for info)

TIERS

Tier 1
Red Bull: Vettel / Webber
McLaren: Button / Hamilton
Ferrari: Alonso / Massa

Tier 2

Mercedes: Schumacher / Rosberg
Sauber: Kobayashi / Perez

Tier 3
Force India: di Resta / Hulkenberg
Williams: Maldonado / Senna
Toro Rosso: Ricciardo / Vergne

Tier 4
Caterham: Kovalainen / Petrov
Marussia: Glock / Pic
HRT: de la Rosa / Karthikeyan

HOW DRIVERS SCORE POINTS

please log in to view this image

NB. 'Qualifying' points allocations take post-qualifying penalties into account and are therefore based on race start positions. For example, if Massa qualifies in 4th place but receives a five place grid penalty then points will be allocated based on his race start position of 9th. There is therefore a double hit for drivers who receive a penalty resulting from a stewards inquiry. Time penalties: 2 points docked from score and potentially a lower race finish. Grid penalties: 3 points docked from score at current race and a grid drop at the following race.

Time to get to work losing all those Grand slam points.

+Kovi - Karth (KERS)
+ Maldonado (i'm serious) - Vergne
+ Raikkonen - Rosberg

One saftey car and a Mercedes engine please. Was tempted to stick DRS on Maldo, but it seems a little costly compared to its reward.

OK - all up-to-date so far I think. Thanks, men.

Jules - you don't assign DRS to a driver pairing. You may only buy one (per race) and I automatically assign it after the race to your worst negative-score driver pairing (if you have any). It is expensive and might not end up being used, or might only turn a -2 into a +2, but then again it might turn a -20 into a +20, which would be very useful.

I'll stick with +Kovalainen -Karthikeyan, please GJ.

I'd also like a low-risk KERS and at a somewhat higher risk, a Mercedes engine! (Oo…err…)

Cheers.

In addition to my choices above, is it too late to request a Safety Car please, Genji?
I can't remember if there is a restriction that all requests be made in one post. If so, not to worry.

Cheers

I'll add a 2nd pairing of Vettel + Massa - please Genji, though I'll probably regret it, as I have almost every add-on I've made, lol.

You need to nominate which driver pairing you want KERS applied to, Westy. I'll apply it to +Hamilton –Massa for now until you instruct otherwise.

That's fine, cosi. You can chop and change your choices any time up to the deadline, which fast approacheth...

Must get these teeth fixed.

Such a strong performance by ROADRUNNER might just have rescued his season, so CONGRATULATIONS to him.

Just ahead of RoadRunner, poor performances by Westy and happyal have allowed cosicave to stretch his lead marginally, while elsewhere the table remains fairly static with a slight drop for Julius Caesar and enough points accumulated by newcomers Fred! and Paco Montoya to buy minor add-ons.

Here, then, is your results table (provisional, dependent on best overtake in Sportydan's Spotlight Singapore Awards):

And the driver breakdown:

please log in to view this image

The highest-scoring driver pairing this week was once more +di Resta –Vergne, which was one of RoadRunner's selections and helped him to his victory.

Please let me know if you think I haven't totalled your scores correctly.

I wonder, did you include my Safety Car, Genji?

(edit: It's not mentioned in your list above, although I see I have been given 5 points more than others with +K-K).
Thanks again for this mammoth undertaking.

Yes, cosi. Your individual breakdown was:

Kovalainen (29) - Karthikeyan (18) = 11
KERS (80% of 11) = 9
Mercedes Engine (4 finished) = 20
Safety Car (1) = 10

Cost of Engine (Mercedes) = -15
Cost of KERS = -15
Cost of Safety Car = -5

Total = 50 - 35 = 15

I don't think I've missed anything but correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: - Ah I see what you mean, cosi. Yes - your S.C. choice was made later. I updated the important bit (where the calculations are made) but neglected to update the list of add-ons (which isn't automated). For info, the table below is where the calculations are made. I don't publish it usually because I thought it would complicate matters but if anyone wants me to in future just let me know.

I am simply blown away by your thoroughness, GJ.

Thanks again. The edit in my previous post was because I realised I'd been awarded 5 points more than others who'd not plumped for a Safety Car, so I realised that it not appearing on the list was pretty much an irrelevant oversight.
