I don't think the call of Michael Meeker got its due respect, you also missed out Ian Scully - now he was unpredictable (where will the ball go?)

But Oslo. Haven't you heard yet? Apparently we are now outnumbered by the haters. All because Queenslander opened their eyes. The king (AT) is dead. Long live the king (Andros Townsend) Wait a minute. Harry has seen the light. So that clearly proves the point. Hang on another minute. Isn't Queens in the get rid of Redknapp camp? It's all getting a bit too confusing for my simple brain.

Who can forget tony scully. I liked him although produced little. Quite skillful quite fast. Quite useless. I do remember him scoring a screaming volley against Oxford away when we got battered and Ray Harfords car got smashed in on the way home. Happy days indeed Tooting.

You really are getting boring and letting yourself down right now yorkie.
You are normally a good poster with good opinions but you just seem like an idiot right now. Don't knopw whats going on inyour personal life, but just keep it off the board please.

Started reading PD's post then saw you ad posted something so decided I needed a laugh. You have rightly become a clown
Sad you cannot accept facts or others opinions as you used to be quite good.
FYI..GRANERO was a terrible player for us 90% of the time..please post how bad AT was for us & for what percentage of time.
I get the feeling that I'm arguing with an 20 yr old, which is ok, but I don't think you except others have the right to an opinion yORKIE.
the only reason I haven't "got into it" with you Yorkie, is because I'm certain you are one on those girls who will go running to the mods to get people banned..ala the anti- Swords brigade.
You are entitled to your opinions of course, but please don't make yourself look as stupid as you are now by voicing (in-correctly) my apparent opinions.
If you want to make yourself look stupid, just carry on the way you are..Its working just fine<ok>

PS..did you find the answer to the question of winnig 2 on the trot in top div yet...still waiting..surely our top player must have helped us..maybe he washed the kit for us or something....hurry up mate....we are waiting?<laugh>

Back to PD's post to give it the respect it deserves

Sadly found out mate..B-..Must try harder !

PD.I don't really know where to start with ths=is so letstry this. I disagree with it all except the last sentence. In fact for 4.8 mill im certain we'll get better and someone who cuts it in the prem. remember we got him for 1 mill

So, firstly , respect where its due. Your posts are normally good well written and incitefull & on many occaisions I have had my opiunions changed by what you have said.
This one though mate, really hasn't given me any reason to change anything I previously believed.
For the record again..I don't hate AT at all, and if he could have delivered even half his billing, then we would have been safe.

the bar as set high because our fans, posters supporters said he was going to set the world/Prem alight! read Dt's earlier post. We were repeatedly told he was the best in the Prem, to good for Barca etxc....
Personally, I think he COULD be a good solid well performing Prem player. Don't agree he had great games but that's all opinions isn't it

Like I said last week. If I was in his shoes, I'd look back over the past 2 seasons and describe them as a failure. I know there are a million excuses, but, if he had delivered week in week out at his top level; and we had lost, then no-one could doubt him. BUT facts are he hasn't!
he still has (a bit) of time on his side, but he isn't going to become the player that some of our fans already think he is...IMO
Now I'n sure Yorkie and his friends will find a few more excuses for his not delivering, but when I look back at all the past Prem greats, the only thing they have in common is hat, they loved their work, they worked their nuts of, and hey always tried their hardest at every opportunity..win or lose..Can we say that about AT?

I'd so desperately love him to become a legend, but, as a great man said not so long ago (RIP) he's a spent force. I can almost guarantee that in 30 yrs, no one will even know his name, unlike our real legends...ala Alan Mac, Bowles etc...

Well that told me didn't it. Fancy bringing some facts into a thread which is clearly about who can shout the loudest. Please forgive me, I'll let you all continue with your hopelessly entrenched views.

I'm sure I'm supposed to call someone stupid at this point, but I'm not sure who! Oh Roller, you are so stupid.

My two pence worth is that he is a player with masses of ability and still a lot more potential. I think that his personal problems didn't help this year nor the new manager coming in being the one who sold him for peanuts.

I would love us to keep him as he is able to do something in games that others cannot. I have a feeling Arry has favourites and Adel needs nore time than he can give. A good pre-season and tactics that allow creative freedom could be what he needs.

Onuoha's mother died and you don"t see him being fined for being late for training and refusing to be weighed.

Stan Bowles was my hero as a kid so I'm not going to criticise anyone for lack of discipline. But our willingness to make excuses for Adel isn't helping him, the world and the game have moved on. Fitness and self motivation should be the base expectation to let him capitalise on his natural advantage - tons of skill and imagination. I want him to stay and achieve even 50% of his potential with us, but Dedcrapp is definitely not the man to help him.

Well of you think I have 'hopelessly entrenched views' then please point out the flaws in my argument. But i'm sure you cant do that because its far easier to try and sound smart and add a sarky comment.

Even the basis of your longest serving quote isn't really true. Is Thibaut Courtois a longer serving Chelsea player than Hazard? He's never played a game in two years as he's been out on loan while Hazard played 30/40 games in the year he's been there.

Balanta's been a pro about 4 or 5 years but a massive chunk of that has been spent out on loan away from the club. Same goes for Ephraim who's been out on loan or not in the 25 man squad. So they aren't really our longest serving players after all.

So if you didn't really add a fact then I'm not sure what you did. Add another sarky comment and have a it reinforced by a pal with a smiley face. Your good at that :emoticon-0148-yes:

Have you no sense of humour? Can you not see how ridiculous this thread is? No one is changing their opinion because of anything said. Everyone is too entrenched.

You may find this hard to believe but there is no bigger fan of Taarabt than me, I have said on many occasions that he is the player I am desperate to see as I walk down the Uxbridge Road. I’m not going to look for any flaws in your agreements because, on the whole, I agree with you, if you’ve read the whole of this thread and any previous Taarabt thread you’d know that.

However I am also a pedant. Ephraim signed in January 2008 having already had a loan spell, Taarabt in March 2009. I don’t care how you want to dress that up, Hogan has been on a player contract at QPR longer than Adel, to my mind that makes it true.

And as for my friend, I’m proud to count Col among my friends, but I certainly do not have any influence over his opinions. We agree on some issues, we agree to differ on others, always have, always will.

That's a bit harsh isn't it?
As aposter IMHO, roller is defo up thiere with the best.
I think he was just pointing out thast its the rest of us..ie me, yorkie, col etc who are the ones who are stupid and entrenched.
He has very different views on AT to me, but don't think he deserves that. PD its all opinions and I think he may have just been trying to lighten the place up.

Whether you get on or nor; Roller is not the man that should be in the firing line in my opinion.

Lighten up mate.? <ok>
