I'd love to see the stats when he didn't play or was left on the bench. Off the top of my head, last season I remember us winning one game away at Southampton without Adel. Can anybody else remember another game we won where Adel didn't start last season? I can't. We don't have a very good "team" without Adel because nobody else poses the attacking threat that he does. Our form went downhill when Harry dropped him. That is a fact. In my opinion, we should keep Adel at all costs but I honestly think he will decide to go. Harry and Adel is not a good partnership.
No it isnt. Harry replaced him with Townsend and from that point on are results started to get better & we played better football and as a TEAM. Have a look for yourself.....I Think, although not sure, that we may even have got some draws and a win, but cant remeber exactly. Even NORTHOLT tweeted me to say that maybe i was right when Adel was dropped..Thats from a hardcore Tarbs fan. Ask him yourself. if i can find the tweet i'll post a link but it was a while ago...! Sunderland 3-1 at home, he wasn't even on the bench. Apart from the first half away to Spurs (when he was also not even on the bench) probably our best ball playing performance of last season. So that's 50% of our league wins he didn't contribute to. Don't get me wrong, I want us to keep him, he's entertainment. But some round here need to take the blinkers off. The sun definitively does not shine out of his arsehole.
Totally different types of players. Remy is a great finisher, with pace. Townsend is nowhere near the finished article. Nothing like as an accomplished footballer as Taarabt.

I can agree with Remy but Townsend always looked like doing something but hardly ever had the final ball.

He has only started 17 games in the Premiership and been loaned to 9 clubs, 1 in the Premier League, 5 in the Championship and 3 in League one. I don't see much achievement or accomplishment there. genuine thanks for that fing. PERSONALLY the both look better now and like they will achieve more than AT in the future..esp if he stays with us. Again, I did say he would prob give us a (massive) edge but that'll be short term. I won't be bothered either way if he goes or stays. if he stays then I hope its the AT that really wants it...anything else and he can F-off. Be intresting to see what happens. I hope it all gets done nice and early and in a quiet prefeesional way. No trumpets and marching bands. just go about our business and get who we want quickly and quietly. I still firmly believe in Adel Taarabt and will never join the ranks of the doubters He is still the best talent I have ever seen in a hoops shirt and if I was in charge I would keep him at all costs He is our number 10 and we always have a number 10 Seriously best player I have seen for many years I love my football played with flair and skill at all costs ... I have the exact same sentiments as you but perhaps not as strongly. Yet agree all the same. He is quality and HAS proven himself at the top level in my opinion. He's played some good games in the EPL in a very **** team (sadly I'm talking about QPR).

That must of course be due to the 50+ players, 3 managers and terrible fans abuse, lack of 207 buses, long hash pipes, the size of geometric desertion, GFC, Yorkshire becoming a muslim state, the Taliban, Margret thatcher, dennis wise, john terry ....and any other thing we can think of to accept and use to hide his obvious lack of desire to cut it at mid/top level......(you get DESIRE?) Taraabt is pure genius. He has more skill and vision than anyone I have seen at QPR. He is obviously also a trifle odd and difficult to manage. But surely managers get paid well to manage these relative misfits. I dont know what Hughes did but noone can deny Adel upped his fitness commitment and defensive shift after being left out for a few games. I dislike Hughes but reckon his tenure may be re evaluated in years to come due to circumstances at the club. Anyway I digress Adel could I stress could be the difference between a workmanlike mid table and challenging for honours next year. To me that is somewhat beside the point. I love watching him play. Manage him right and lets enjoy his ability. Just imagine having to watch the stoke midfield every week. He is QPR in every way. A flawed genius.
Strange as it is, isn't Adel our longest serving player at the moment when you include his initial loan period in 2009? In that time he has gone from being a skinny, stroppy 19 year old who thought he was the best thing since sliced bread to being a stroppy, shall we say stocky 23 year old who still thinks etc etc.........however he can do things on the pitch that no one else can do or has done for the R's since Stan was in his prime and when his mind is rightly focused he is worth the entrance fee alone......in short he is an entertainer and the type of player i want to see play for us...... He really is just like marmite......and it is up to Harold to ensure that he is loved......get him right and next season could be really enjoyable....
