Do they often come under attack of petrol bomb throwing rioters?

See it is ingrained so much into that you can't even see it. Referring to the unionist community as "Huns"

You're not playing by the script, remember that word is used to describe rangers fans and rangers fans only. ;)

No one is forcing the OO to march in these areas. It would have been unacceptable to ask Holy Cross to pick up the police bill as thise girls had to go to school and had to cross through hell to do so. But the OO have a choice in whether they want to march an area or not. They should take financial responsibility for their non essential marches.

And they stick to their own areas and dont go looking for trouble. Plus they arent inherently antagonistic and triumphal events

Or maybe because no one is there threatening with bricks & petrol bombs!

No comment on your sectarianism. Strange.

Going by that logic. The families of the holy cross should have paid the police bill as they could have went the other route to school. But then again, why should they, that's the way they've always went.

Own areas!?! So what you're saying is if unionists moved into an area were they were having some Gaelic festival, it would be acceptable to attack the police and demand it be relocated?

No comment on the fact that Fleadhs and GAA matches are not inherently antagonistic and triumphal events? This is the main reason there is no trouble at these events. Everyone is welcome to come to a match or a Fleadh. In fact the latter attracts people from across the globe which does a lot of good for the local economy.

It attracts people from across the globe? Really.

I've never even heard of it.

No, because as we discussed many months ago, the GAA is not an inherently sectarian organisation.

I like the suggestion that the OO should pick up the cost of policing. I think that is entirely reasonable.

As for the Holy Cross school, these children are not parading, they are going to school. I am sure you see the difference.

<doh> Do you live with your head up your arse? The All Ireland Fleadh is a world renowned celebration of Irish music, dancing and culture. Every year we have visitors from as far away as Australia and that includes musicians.

It is an answer, just not a very good one. I don't see why people should be compromised because some triumphalist bigots want to assert their superiority.
