Alot of people are stating that Wenger did bid over 20Million for Gotze and also Renne did say we bid for M'Villa during then end of the summer. People need to realise that its not actually Wenger doing the bidding for players. Its the board who make the Bids. In the past (when Dein was around) when we bidded for player and that got turned down Dein would come back with a better offer for the player and make sure Wenger got his man. Now we just have a bid rejected and then run away like little girls when the bid get rejected. I mean what club accepts the 1st bid for there star player anyway? Wenger has always been a tight git thats why having someone like Dein helped as Wenger would just tell him who he wanted and Dein would do the rest. Now the board expect Wenger to name the price he thinks that player is worth.
Glad we didn't get Cahill ... I didn't rate him much before but thought he might be an improvement on what we had, I am so glad we kept our money in our pocket instead of buying him
Not meaning to be argumentative, but us being out of the CL would be the exception, not the rule also. I think players would be very much aware of this fact.
