On paper we have argubaly the best squad in the league with only West Ham who can compete with us but egos have stepped in. Its no wonder Nigel has banished aload of players from the training ground

Exactly ! He's proven that he can shaft Brizzle, even though they looked after him through his injury. Listen, he's only interested in one thing...... Himself. So get over it cos your gonna lose him and for a fraction of what we offered. Seeing as you've got so called business men in charge of your club they don't know a good deal when they see one. Enjoy relegation, at least you'll be able to play Rovers

Aww bless, may i just point out a few things to you...

So called business men... Hargreaves Lansdown are a very successful Financial Company that have managed to ride the storm through one of the countries worst recession in recent times

Nicky Maynard shafted City... From my understanding, it was his choice not to join Leicester as he felt that he was better than that and could play at a higher level, i am also sure that in Nicky put in a transfer request then we probably would have sold to you lot. Why would he join a club that he did not want to play for?

At least we will be able to play rovers... Rovers are currently struggling in League 2 and when i last checked City are in the CC, which would mean, if we do go down Rovers would have to perform miracles to get into division 1.

So if you are going to join into a debate/conversation, please make sure you are not making random crap up!

Now sit down and let me talk with the more knowledgeable Leicester fans.... PF and AKCJ

From what i have heard anyway Bristol was going to accept our offer for Nicky Maynard but Maynard said he wasnt too keen on coming and he ended up staying. Bristol should of said to him in the summer either sign a new contract or be sold. Because now its come back to bite you on the bum and Maynard isnt bothered

Nicky Maynard has cost you a good 7/8 million and you know it.

But why do you come here spouting about how he didn't want to join us constantly? If any club is worse off then its Bristol. We saved 9m on an average championship striker. We're glad he hasn't come for that price so move on and accept that Maynard has and probably will cost you in the end by seeing out his contract and getting a good agent fee in the summer when a Premier League club will risk him by spending money on his wages only.

I have already agreed that we should have sold him, but its that famous old saying, you can lead a horse to water.....

We couldnt make him go, like PF said, we would have sold him if wanted to go!

Your chairman/manager should of given Maynard a deadline of the 1st of August to either sign a new deal or be sold

But i think we was the reason Maynard didnt leave. Maynard didnt want to come here and our bidding got so ridiculously high it scared off the other teams so in the end we was running Maynards price tag up so high everyone else looked elsewhere

You can push him out the door. Tell him he has no future there and that you arent going to play him again unless he signs a new contract. Teams have done it in the past

We would then be cutting our nose to spite our face.

We do not have any players with Nickys ability so it would be pointless leaving him on the bench.

No but that way it would force Maynard into making a decision. You would either get a load of money or he will sign a new deal

But is it also pointless having him playign and swanning about the pitch doing **** all as he knows he's not going to be there next season?

    Food for thought.

So Nicky Maynard scored a 93rd minute winner for Bristol tonight against Millwall.

He is maybe worth a 1M bid aswell

So he was getting stick from some City fans (very wrong) and he still scored a last minute goal!

That should show how committed he is to any club that he joins, fair play to him!

Sounds like Beckford except the scoring bit

I dont agree with fans booing their own players. Its embarrassing when they do it, i understand booing the team but not to single out a player

It looks like DM wants at least £2.5m for Maynard or he is open to swap offers.

Not a bad price considering what your getting!
