It's just people googling "Sturridge", half of them are probably Bolton/Chelsea fans.

For a half season of decent work, it sounds like a good deal compared to 35m

From a very reliable source :

No truth what so ever if sturridge bid. Gamiero due to visit SJP and facilities this week. Hoping they can persuade him!

I'd actually rather have Sturridge than Gameiro for the £12m.

He has proven he can score in the EPL for Bolton, and has the potential to be a very good player.

I wouldnt expect Chelsea to sell him though.

This is looking like a great transfer window, names like sturridge and gamiero flying around... Its great we are are linked with either, but being able to pick one over the other is immense! Im getting excited!! :-D

And we all berated Liverpool for paying over the odds for what could be a one season wonder?

He's only scored 14 premiership goals, not really that impressive. He's done well at Bolton, but he was only there half a season... I'd buy him, but not for that price.

He looked quality for Bolton but he never really had a run of games at City or Chelsea to compare it with.

I reckon he wont be a one season wonder and I've never seen Gamerio so it would be hard to say who I'd prefer. I certainly wont be dissapointed though if this did actually happen.

Put it this way: I would have been a lot happier bunny back in January if the announcement had been that we'd parted with Carroll in exchange for Sturridge and £23 million . . .

Don't get too excited old cocker. Do remember, that this is Newcastle United, were talking about. Yes, we're being linked with them, not signing them. I would love it if we signed Gamerio or Sturridge....but nothings ever as good as it seems with NUFC is it?

I'm still cautious over Cabaye. :/

I wish our club, was less.....dramatic?

I far prefer drama ranging from title challenges to relegation, to year after year of mid-table mediocrity.

No, not relegation. My heart can't take that sort of **** again.

Also this season was mid table mediocracy but we've had a lot of excitement

  20. I hope this is true, i'd prefer Sturridge as he's proven in the PL and a good young prospect.

People can disagree that half a season in the PL isn't proven, yet we sold Carroll for 35 mil after that amount of time, and Sturridge has played 40-50 games in the PL now, and is finding his feet in this league.

I hope we sign him over Gameiro, but i'd be outstandingly happy with either of them.
