I hope he doesnt go to either of these clubs. He's better than relegation fodder. Not saying he should go to Man Utd or Chelsea, but an established EPL side that play decent football to get the best out of him. He'd be near better off staying with us one more season than moving to they ****s. BY the way despite the fact i dont think a Man Utd will buy him (they prefer to wait until he plays well for 2 or 3 seasons for a ****e EPL club and then spend £30m+ on him) he is exactly the type of player Man Utd need
Will we still have to pay the sell-on fee to Newco Beerschot / KFCO Beerschot-Wilrijk? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-face-600k-sell-on-fee-1990605
Don't see why we should have to pay anything to a new club. The club we would have paid is no more but if the appointed liquidators are still in post it may be the case that they are entitled to collect the sell-on fee to add to the dividends paid out to creditors?
You're clearly not a fan of René Descartes / newco Rangers club-business dualism philosophy. The club is a separate supernatural entity from the business, which can never die - it only passes on to a higher state, run by the likes of Chuck Green.
I'd quite like to see big Vic at Fulham. We could do with a centre mid, but i'm not sure the club would be willing to invest 10m on any player not just Vic.
Is Wanyamma's agent at it? I remember celtic offering him a contract last year but it was turned down http://www.scotsman.com/sport/footb...wanyama-dealing-done-with-integrity-1-2974938 The player will not be forced into a corner to accept the Southampton deal, just because it is good for Celtic. Remember, he has been with the club for two years now – without a pay rise – and has given them wonderful service ever since he arrived. Added to this is the fact that, by Celtic refusing him permission to join Queens Park Rangers last summer, Victor lost more than £1 million in potential salary earnings I would also argue that playing in the champions league was far more beneficial for him than spending a season at the bottom of the epl was.
You can never really trust what agents say. All he wants is the player to end up at the place where he (agent not player) gets the largest slice. Newspapers reportingSouthampton was a no no but he wants to speak to Cardiff. I would imagine Southampton after 1 year in the EPL - albeit a ****e one - would be a better shout than a side in the EPL for the first time ever. There was also the small matter of them outright stating they would not pay the £1m the agent demanded for himself. Im sure thats just coincidence Both of them would do well to remember that Celtic took him from a team (soon to go bankrupt), paid him I assume a decent wage- significantly more than a soon to be bankrupt Belgian side, not even sure if they were a top division side- and gave him the stage to put him in a position whereby he can now command a very large salary. He has played well and will play well no doubt for an EPL side. But its a 2 way street. He has a contract with Celtic that he signed too and was probably very happy to commit to at the time
Hmmnn, let's think about this. A greedy ungrateful little twat with a shyster for an agent? I think Saints can probably get by without him, ta. Good luck with unloading him to Cardiff.
A famous GAA player used to get asked to open shopping centres, hand out medals and **** like that. He did this willingly all over the country. When he couldn't be bothered his "people" would ask for sums of money that they'd never give over in a million years. This situation reminds me of that. Victor... Do you want to go to Southampton. No. Good. We'll ask em for 90k a week and they can tell you to **** off instead of the other way round.
Wanyama himself hasn't made any comments that were out of place or character. African player with loud-mouth agent looking to sell EPL team down the rive is hardly a new story. You reap what you sow, when Andy Carroll is worth £55m in transfer fees and on £100k a week all bets are off.
