But Roman and Mansour write off all the clubs debts. Every owner has to pass a stringent test before they are allowed to buy a football club to prove their worth, their future plans and their intent. All this "Stop paying the bills" bull$hit. When has a premier League owner ever done that. He would never be able to buy another business again. Same as the old "leave him to rot in the reserves" on players who want to leave. Fabrication.
Oh dear, owners like Gaydamak and the freshly incarcerated Carson Yeung you mean? Your and Citys have done it for years btw. as they've covered the annual losses of the football club with their own cash i.e. paying the bills
They didnt stop paying the bills fool, they COULDNT pay the bills because they were bankrupt/put in prison. I doubt Roman or Mansour are going to run in to money troubles. The fact that these guys were allowed to buy clubs tells me that more harsher reviews are needed on these guys before they are allowed to invest so I concede that
I've got to say the level of ignorance (most wouldn't seemingly know a balance sheet from a bed spread) and their eagerness to lift the rug and brush this one away is really quite staggering even by kopite standards.
The 21st Century football fan.......ahhhh. Moaning about money, Net spend, FFP, Income and expenditure spread sheets. Old School fans will be turning in their graves.
Gaydamak did exactly that you bell end, and they're currently near the bottom of League 2, only 6 short years after lifting the FA Cup as a PL club..... Abramovich could be popped off tomorrow & Mansour might decide to use a different bill board for his oil state's tourism push. The point is you simply don't know & if a club is reliant on a sugar daddy's cash for survival then it's something that the game can do without, as it's putting social institutions at risk, by creating a false 'bubble' in which they operate. Not to mention the fact that it distorts the playing field for the rest...
The guy was clearly bent. You dont pump the amount of money into a club that Roman and the Sheikh have if you are just going to asset strip it and do a runner ffs. Stadiums, Academys, training complexes, marketing....and this is before the money spent on players. I think its quite clear that neither owner are going anywhere.
He was no less bent than the Russian gangster you've got at the helm. Both Abramovich and Mansour have their own reasons (can't be arsed doing this again) for owning their clubs and the odds are that they won't leave in the short / medium term, by which point both clubs might be self sufficient anyway. But they are the exception, not the rule, for every one of them there's 3 or 4 clowns who run out of cash / interest or freedom & leave an unsustainable car crash behind them. It aint complicated really...
I think everything points to that being a ridiculous statement when you look at where Portsmouth are now and where Chelsea are now. In terms of running a football club he has been great. You aint gonna start talking about Putin and $hit now are you?
What exactly has he done that would be considered "running a football club"...? Surely you're not counting plying millions and millions in as good administration? Running a football club is about keeping things balanced, not throwing your vast fortune at the problem which is effectively sweeping ti under the carpet. He's been a good owner for Chelsea, but don't try to make out he runs the club perfectly. Those are two very different things!
Slightly off topic, but it all hell breaks lose in the Ukraine, how will that effect RA, if the west put restrictions on Commie land?
He's spending cash on strikers, yachts & paintings of fat birds, that should be going to re-build the infrastructure of Russia, given that he's basically stolen their national resources, but that's not a discussion for here..... He's not done anything but throw enough money at it, but if that makes him 'great', then so be it.....
The West won't do **** all but grandstand. We're too reliant on Roman's gas pipeline these days......
That was it's intention mate. The fat bird in question; please log in to view this image £17m for that ****e....
WHAT....THE...****!!!!! HAHAHAHA Art is very subjective I suppose. Either that or rich people just have f**ked up tastes,
Apparently his bird liked it (I think she was relatively new on the scene at the time) so it probably amounts to the most expensive shag of all time....
is this the point where we start throwing round some casual racism towards the French? I'll start; please log in to view this image
