The Edwin Davis building might be making was for a 5,000 seater ice arena (replacing the old one, which is in a ****e position and is falling apart)... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/New-...treet-Hull/story-28959492-detail/story.html#1 Replacing the old Ice Arena with something better (in the city centre) is a good idea, but it's a shame about the building going, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it had the potential to be a great building.
Without going over the entire thread isn't this old news ? The last time Terry ****witt came up with these plans the size of the swimming pool alone would not fit onto the site never mind all the out buildings and such. #pieinthesky.
Might as well , serve 2 purposes. Like an Ice cap , let It melt and , Voila , an Instant Swimming pool & when Hull freezes over' , Ice Rink , again.
Nothing will happen for years now, initially there wasn't enough demand for new retail space and now there isn't enough demand for new office space either.
Sometimes I come on here and I've been taken back to threads from 2011 but I've not realised, so I've replied. Causing much hilarity
My respect for Ron had temporarily plummeted when I just read his insensitive comments around our long departed ex Mayor. She was alive and kicking at the time of the comments, so fair game.
Who is supplying the water? Perhaps the priority will be to drink it rather than throw it into another HCC white elephant!
