I agree with you, but he has the real ones, you have fake ones. Or to put it simple he is richer than you and can spend silly money on trainers where you cant.

Unless you're buying those same Nike trainers for a fiver, then obviously he's paying for better quality? Don't get me wrong, I happen to be one of these old farts that's never spent more than £40 on a pair of trainers. And tbh if you'd made a similar comparison I would agree with you. But a fiver is just unrealistic unless you're a Cambodian athlete who couldn't give a **** if he had a strap of leather on the sole or not
