    He was a world authority on boundary layers, I think in the Mech. Eng. Dept. He left decades ago to become Emeritus Prof. at Stanford, from which he retired just a couple of years ago. A very eccentric but genuinely funny guy. I am also a (retired) CFD guy, specializing in Nonlinear Boundary Integral Methods. This forum has an extraordinary mix of talents, as well as some real A-holes.
