Meh...define a monster

Someone who's responsible for this?

THE UMAP: CASTRO'S CONCENTRATION CAMPS
To eliminate and punish those deemed unfit for his revolution while using them for free labor, Fidel Castro presided over a closed-door meeting within the regime’s hierarchy. The resulting plan was to create a network of concentration camps to intern the thousands of "unfit." First it was named "Plan Fidel." But Castro, cunningly, wanted his name out of it. It was to be called UMAP (Military Units to Help Production).

Castro ordered that his agents - at night - go house to house to apprehend at gun point all the males that fit the profile of what he called, "the scum of society," for example: gays, Catholics, Jehovah’s Witnesses and members of other Protestant religions.

If you are a fan of firing squads and secret police then Castro was deffo "Da Man".
Is there a "correct" way of carrying out a death penalty? Then why does it draw special attention?

The only reson MI5 are not called a "secret police" is because Britain is a democracy...otherwise they carry out the same function.

Questions remain over the RUC

Imagine knocking on a Jehovahs Witness door at an ungodly hour <rofl>

They went because they were conscientious objectors...would not join the military

Sounds familiar

The difference being...

"The internees worked an average of 60 hours a week for a monthly income of 7 pesos (roughly worth a meal) and their internment typically lasted for at least six months. Cubans who served in the standard SMO ("Servicio Militar Obligatorio," Obligatory Military Service) received the same monthly wage of 7 pesos a month."

Had no problems with Castro standing up to the Americans frankly .
When Nixon had the full court press on world leaders to shun Castro and said Cuba was to dangerous to visit , our then Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau took his wife and kids to visit Castro for a vacation , Nixon was madder than a kicked over hornets nest .
Years later when Trudeau died , Castro attended the funeral in Canada .... I think it was the only time Castro left the country of Cuba .
Now Trudeau's son Justin is doing a terrific job as Prime Minister , and taking a world Leader part on the environment ... his wife is a super girl also .
Rest in peace Castro .

Waitaminnit. You're Canadian?

Are your borders still closed to Americans fleeing Trump?

Aye he only left Cuba to visit Canada. Well apart from that wee stint fighting in Bolivia. Oh and also the Dominican republic. And then there was that time he was exiled in Mexico. That's where he met Che Guevera. Apart fae that though he did only ever visit Canada. If you don't count the USSR of course.

Here's a picture of him visiting the Lincoln memorial in Toronto.

You sure he was in Bolivia? Even if he was, you forgot him being in Colombia
