This **** still going? Christ.
In fairness at least 10 pages of this thread is made up from your posts of "**** me, is this **** still going on?"
Another 23 pages were on interior kitchen designs.
A further 37 pages were about what how ****ish Spurlock found other posters (mostly accurate imo)
14 pages were memes by some boring mo fo.
6 pages were about the outstanding beauty in Lewisham.
45 pages were from some geezer in Hull expressing how sad he was cos he was a northern prat that wished he lived in London and another 28 pages were him suppressing his wish that he was a cool as someone living in Spain.
There were 18 pages of **** you no **** you contributions .... pretty much like a normal debate in parliament.

Boom!

You need to register read his post mate...you have taken offence at something he hasn't said or inferred imo

Tbh I don't, and never have thought that you can generalise about what ever racists has or hasn't done. Though I certainly don't think every Leave voter is a racist. I do think a significant proportion were concerned with immigration - speaking to friends/family and from being on social media, and also from reading articles have all given me this belief. Again not saying all or majority. The rise in hate crime against immigrants seems to confirm this as well.

He doesn't think every Leaver is a racist - good, not a bad start, but what about Remainers and abstainers, are any of those racist. Isn't this a needless comment and best left unsaid?

What kind of concerns with immigration is he referring to? Is it racial concern, religious concern, controls concern, contribution concern, or just a concern over the seemingly uncontrolled numbers? So what is his belief built on? Do these generalist comments help, do they promote the racist argument, whether intentionally or not.
Perhaps it's not realistic to take one post in isolation?

Finally, qualifying a rise in hate crime with Leavers, per se, is not great is it? Trying to say he doesn't mean all or the majority just doesn't work, does it? Isn't it a label?

Have hate crimes been created off the back of the Brexit? Were they around before? Do some folk find it convenient to amplify the current (and expected) spike in these hate crimes?

Is it constantly brought into other, disassociated discussions simply to cast unreal and dishonest reflection on mainstream Brexteers, whilst, just as constantly, denying doing it.

Personally I find the regular reference to darkies both poor and confusing as it comes from Remainers.

And then there's you; a bit of a cross between Boris and Gove. It takes all sorts. <ok>

Reports of racist incidents have increased significantly since the result. That's a simple fact. Some of us expressed a fear about this and we're at pains to say (over and over again) that the minority of racist ****ers would use the out vote as an excuse to try and spread their hateful poison.
The post you took offence at did not call or imply that all out voters were racist or responsible for a rise in racist incidents...racist ****s are responsible for the actions.
People have a right to point to out that some people in their opinion voted mainly on the issue of immigration and that they think this was a mistake in their view...that's how I read the post and tbh I do not see why you have taken offence

You appear to have an issue with facts

http://news.sky.com/story/1722057/hate-crime-in-london-up-50-percent-since-brexit-vote

The racists, xenophobes, simplistic morons, and feckless were virtually all on your bus, get over it

You seem to be panicking over short term issues. Long term, the UK will be able to trade with the world like it has never been able to do for 40-odd years.
These short term issues you say have cost the UK Billions and no end in sight because there is no end apart from staying in the EU.....You can dress it up and trivialize our demise all you like but we are in serious melt down. Nobody has a plan as there is no plan and the big and small businesses are losing so much money that they are planning to sue the government For causing the demise of the UK and having no plan in place....If anyone now still thinks it was a good idea to leave then there is something radially. wrong with them, It's know wonder people had wished they listened to the experts and not Boris and Farage who jumped ship and left the mess behind. Leaving the protection of the EU is bad for business, everyone with a brain cell can see that now and how ironic we are still in the EU paying our dues and countries are still not trading with the UK properly as they should and they wont until we are back to normal in the family of our EU partners fighting for reform...

But it isn't a fact that they voted leave.

In fact, it's a nailed on certainty that not all of them did. Apart from the ones I've already mentioned that voted remain, quite a few of the reports relate to school children, who aren't eligible to vote.

Remainians really need to look at themselves and consider their part in this. Despite many, many people pointing out that they had no issue with immigrants, it was remainians that kept on and on raising it as an issue.

Yes, I agree and have always agreed that reports of such incidents have increased; I also expected it to happen, for a variety of reasons. I also expect it to return to normal (sic) after a period of settling. It might help if folk stopped making false claims about what is fact and repeating them, falsely, over and over again.

Being concerned about immigration is not being racist. Constantly posting the two together and giving them false connection helps no one.

I'm not offended, just disappointed .

No issue with facts, I can only keep answering that I have always expected it and am disappointed, but not surprised. Have you read the piece you attached?

Yes there is an increase, it follows a long term trend. It is also described as a perception, which might become clearer in coming months. It doesn't label any particular political stance as being responsible, although others, such as you, might wish to.

Your final paragraph loses you any credibility you had, but seeing as you had none you have come away with you piss-poor reputation unchanged.

It is exactly this type of post that I object to (it doesn't offend me, as the Tobes of this world are two-a-penny), making these false blanket claims to discredit an opposing view that took the majority in the referendum.

I wasn't thinking politically.

I'd ask what is your evidence that our Human Rights aren't going to be watered down considering the UK Gov has already been taken to the European Court of Human Rights for abuses against disabled people and for other violations. They have also attacked our Workers rights as well and our social protections . I'd say you are very naive if you think that the Government aren't removing international safeguards and standards for any other reason than to water down the standards

There's these links discussing the issue and possible implications.

(Sorry I can't quickly find the more recent articles where the numbers got updated to a much higher figure I will have a look later)

I wasn't going to mess about with all of your claims which dont seem to have any foundation. They just seem to be uncontrolled ranting.

"like the ones that saw between 60,000 to 80,000 disabled people lose their lives because of the Fit To Work scheme"

So there's no evidence for the above statement. More likely it is total nonsense.
