I'm not prepared to put aside my principles over this I said when the scheme was announced I wouldn't give another penny until concessions are re-introduced. I'll have to settle for watching from my sofa. Fingers crossed we will win the playoff final (which I will again be watching from my sofa) this will trigger a sale of the club, and the boy and I can be back for next season.
Hope not. I'll give him the victory to sign off in style with promotion, but we are ****ed if he manages us again in the Premier League. No guarantees with anyone else but we have to try.
I keep reading this. We have done brilliantly with him. We have a massive number of points his season. Within a couple of games of enough. Yes, it's as if we could have done more with what we have but I, not so sure there is anyone with his experience or the capability to attract top players. I'm worried anyone else would have his standing to convince people to the club. Then again, a change may work. My instinct is a lot of fans are hoping for something new, for something new. Often, something new turns out to be no better!
Well you're giving the Allams more of a penny sat at home from the sofa, someone said the football league takes all the ticket revenue, the Allams will get more money from TV anyway. If you're going down that route, you'll have to cancel Sky too.
It's a trend. Some people spout a lot of theories on how things could be better, safe in the knowledge that they'll never have to deliver themselves. Football's pretty much just the good excuse for a day out with like minded mates to have a laugh with. Well it used to be. The 90 minutes is just to give the liver a rest and shout a lot. Why do people get serious and complicate it?
It's the modern thing. People protest and don't understand the implications. I once saw a climate change crusty chained to a gate. Eating out of a plastic lunch box. Where's he think plastic comes from then? Horse ****?
I was in a pub that had a smattering of the unwashed in there as a protest was pending. I could hear them talking, and one seriously asked another "what are we protesting about this week?"
Same people who cry when some reality tv star dies. It's like they knew them. Life is funny these days. Everyone is an expert and knows everybody. And loves a crusade. Actually, let's not mention crusades...
That's actually the wrong way round, 50% of the ticket money is split between the clubs participating in the pay-offs and there's no tv money from the playoffs.
If you are really not going then you are simply cutting off your nose to spite your face. These are the games that stick in the memory & which you tell the kids and grandkids about until they're bored stiff of hearing you! Everybody who was there remembers the Watford games. If you don't go then it's your own fault. Don't go trying to blame the Allams or anyone else - it will be your decision and your decision alone. One that you will regret for the rest of your life!
Wish I could be there....please cheer the lads onto a win... these are good days for the greatest club on the planet.
I'd usually agree if we weren't 3-0 up, the only way he will remember tomorrow probably is if we lose
Looking forward to it tomorrow myself, hoping we don't have a nervy start, an early goal for us should settle matters and make it into a procession and then party-time. Looking forward to seeing the City Legends before the game as posted on the thread here
