I think we'll finish in the top two if we're in the top two after the Brum game. Between now and then is a tough run of fixtures.
Based on points per game we're on course to get 95pts.
That's the point total of champions if I ever saw it.
08/09 Winners: Wolves, 90pts
09/10 Winners: Newcastle, 102pts
10/11 Winners: DQPR, 88pts
11/12 Winners: Reading, 89pts
12/13 Winners: Cardiff, 87pts
13/14 Winners: Leicester, 102pts
14/15 Winners: Bournemouth, 90pts
Of course, a lot can happen between now and the end. If I recall, Reading won the title in 11/12 even though only a couple of months earlier they were around the edge of the playoffs.
We're on exactly 2 points per game so far. So we're on course for 92.

This is the best comment on here, if Hernandez for example got injured then it makes a huge difference to us. If Bruce brings in another striker I would be more confident of automatically going up as Akpom/Diomande/Aluko are sketchy stand ins.Anyone allowed to express a note of caution or is this the gung ho thread? Up to two weeks ago I thought we were more likely to do the play offs than automatic. I now think we have a very good chance of automatic but:
I) Our away performances are still not that good and we have to play 3 of our main 4 rivals away from home yet
ii) In the same way as injury to one or two key players seriously derailed us for a while in December, the same thing could happen again. If Mcgregor or Hernandez get injured, what then?
iii) Last time we went up we really bottled it at the end. Remember those awful performances v Bristol City, Barnsley? It could happen again.
I think we have a very good chance but 50 years of being a Hull City fan makes me put it at about 50/50.
It is nice to look at the table and see a bit of a gap emerging to the play-offs it has to be said, best not to get carried away though. My gut tells me we will go up but injuries will play a part, we have got ever so lucky with the emergence of Maguire when Daws has been out but it could so easily have been the other way and cost us badly.Too much positivity on here
It doesn't sit comfortably with me
Been around City too long
Please stop it, thank you
I know that's the traditional view, but even in the dark days, as bad as we've been, I always approached each game with an air of optimism.Too much positivity on here
