Mine was a general point, I only mentioned IS in regard to military intervention.

So, what was your point in mentioning diplomatic relations, sport etc? If we don't engage IS in those things we can't break them off can we? IS isn't a sovereign state or country so the point about military intervention in a sovereign country is actually not a point at all.
I see they are claiming that the reason for this was France's actions in Syria and that Paris is the capital of prostitution and vice. So no connection to anything we have done. Not in this instance anyway, though there will no doubt be something in the future where it will all be our fault.

For my own part I have answered posts that I have agreed with or thought wrong and there have been a few of those - beyond that I have responded to specific posts and tried to answer them without point scoring, although that is difficult. this is a discussion forum, or so I thought. I have tried very hard not to be either political, religious or disrespectful in any way. So what is the problem?

This thread was never a condolence thread, the first hint of condolence was 52 posts in on page 3 and even now some who have complained continue to move the discussion forward which is laughable. Just discuss the pros and cons of this crazy situation or don't read it, it really is that easy.

If you want to offer condolences, either open a dedicated thread or use the one that our board convention reserves - just as was done much earlier:

You just can't be wrong can you mate? Have you ever tried the sites that are already there to cater for people like you? You could pit your wits against some of the best.

To people blaming refugees for attacks in Paris tonight. Do you not realise these are the people the refugees are trying to run away from..?

Certain ones, yes. Others are economic migrants from areas where there isn't war. Hoeever some will no doubt soon be demanding their new host country makes concessions to the Muslim way of life that they left behind. There are idiots in this country demanding Sharia Law and telling locals they shouldn't drink or hold hands in a "Muslim area". There aren't these prolems with other religions.

I am the one who created this thread, and I created it as a dedicated thread where people can give condolences and inform of what happened, not a place to pointlessly argue. So please, stop.

Really, do you live in a hindsight world, let's look at some of your posts shall we?

Shootings and explosions in Paris.

At least 18 dead so far.

Supposed hostages taken at Paris Batalan Concert Hall.

Explosions outside Stade de France during the France-Germany game, Francois Hollande evacuated.

Death toll up to 26 now.

Here is the explosion going off during the France-Germany game:

Sums up my feelings on this.

I could go on, Quill, but seriously, where the **** did you mention it was a condolence thread, come on, quote it here????

I have stopped, but I am not going to let you get away with a cheap shot like that, live your lies, but don't **** them out on me.

What about hard-line Buddhists in Myanmar? Hindus in India?
