Thank Christ that's over & couldn't wished for better outcome, with our side now we shouldn't be out of top 10 or 6 hopefully!
Now the window has closed, anyone know when we have to name our squad and how large it can be? Loan window is open for another month I think, although not to PL teams, so will anybody else be coming in?
Derby spending money like it's going out of fashion. Another £6m on distinctly average Bradley Johnson
That's a good signing for Derby, I didn't used to rate Johnson but he was brilliant for Norwich last season and was their player of the year. Surprised they let him go.
What an excellent window it turned out to be - keeping two current stars in Austin and Phillips, and adding two future stars in Chery and Luongo. Along with the other additions and the return of Faurlin, we now have a squad that can mount a strong challenge for promotion. Well done to all involved, especially SLF.
Ok Ok then, looks like we've had a very quite 'window' with ( If I'm correct ) one younger player coming in from Reading and this old fart, throwback, hag, reject, invalid, ever so challenged, yet faithful drone staying with us........ Did l miss anyone?
What could have have been a very depressing transfer window has turned positive & really think we should be aiming for a play off place now. Squad is looking a lot more balanced with also quite a few who've experienced promotion from the Championship so fingers crossed
I feel a tiny bit sorry for the fans of Blackpool a team I now look for following there on going troubles with their owners "BlackPool also missed out on a cash windfall yesterday, with Matt Phillips staying at QPR.The winger was linked to several Premier League clubs and West Brom were expected to swoop with an offer of around £9m. As part of the deal which saw Phillips leave Blackpool for Loftus Road in 2013, Pool are entitled to around 10 per cent of any future transfer fee above the £5m the London club paid for the 24-year-old." However on further thoughts...perhaps not the Oystens would have simply pocketed the money...so no another reason I am glad he wasn't sold
Very true mate, 99.9% of us, myself included, probably had the team scrapping the bottom of the table the remainder of the season with the expected losses but now, we can hope the team kicks on and has a real positive season, anything else is a bonus.
