Yeah but the multiplier would be less because from the sounds of it there's friction there so either he wants away (or his agent does kerching). Be awesome if true it's the sort of calibre we need to bring in
 
apparently palace have accepted a 6m (could rise to 8m) offer from Bristol City for Dwight Gayle, so guessing thats him off our scope, which kinda pleases me a bit as didn't see him as an upgrade on what we have

From the looks of that article (if there's any accuracy in the rumours), nothing will happen until Dzeko is confirmed at Roma. Hadn't realised that the other side supposedly interested (Bologna) are only just promoted too, so not a dissimilar level to us. It's not like we're competing with teams with Europa league as a draw.

According to the Italian press it's the other way round - Dzeko passed his medical etc several days ago and they are all ready, but they didn't realise they'd filled their quota of foreign players and therefore need to sell in order to buy.

The only issue with that is that Mattia Destro is not foreign (to them...)

So someone's got something wrong there

£6m for Gayle? Didn't Pardew supposedly put a £10m pricetag on his head? Or was that only to Premier League rivals.
