... fair points ... things are a bit raw right now but seemingly strange managerial changes do sometimes work ... e.g Pochettino for Adkins ... the new guy will get our support .he just needs to prove he is deserving of it ...

Without knowing the full story im not going to criticise the owners but this decision is baffles me. We have stability and a team capable with a few new signings of having a very good season next year and now we sack Pearson!

Im guessing James Pearson had alot to do with it as guessing NP kicked up something and the owners took offence to it.

I dont agree with the decision in the slightest and I think its a very bad move

Nigel Pearson leaves here as a legend and his contribution to our club since 2009 has been brilliant.

    2 Title winning seasons
    2 Play off campaigns
    1 Great escape

Harry Redknapps knees are all better now and he's chomping at the bit to get back into it.......................!

Feel genuinely sorry for you all ( except for AKCJ of course who was all over our board like a rash last season <whistle> )

His son certainly has a lot to answer for.

Cheers bud, think we've lost a great manager, he'll soon get another job, prob a top championship side.

Pearson to QPR? He'll sort your debt out and get you back on track <ok>

... would have had to have done a lot more to have merited 'legend' status with me ... but each to his own and I respect younger supporters may see it that way .. for me he is somewhere around the Jock Wallace and Gordon Milne company.. not quite up there with Gilles, Bloomfield and O'Neil ...not sure he was ever 'stable' ... some strange antics if I'm honest...

Well unfortunately he wasn't given the opportunity to achieve real greatness, so hardly a fair comparison. In the time he was given, in the division he started from (the lowest position our club has EVER been in), there's not a lot more he could have done.

Nigel Pearson would have took you another step foward next season.

I would be ****ing angry with the board
If i was a Leicester City fan.

Nothing to stop the new manager taking us to the next level. Southampton are a fine example of getting rid of a successful manager and have done tremendously well since.
Whoever gets the job is taking on an extremely talented squad. Let's hope we can kick on next season.
Before that. Though we will have to go through the usual circus of finding our new leader. Onwards and upward gentlemen.

Ok. I´ve been here & there & the info that I´m getting is that the sacking was NOT a football related thing & has alot to do with NP´s son & his part in the shame brought to the club over the `sex/rasist tape.

Top & his dad are fuming about it still. The relationship between the board & NP was at rock bottem & NP had to go. I think top wanted to keep NP on after the touch line think because a search for a new manager then was not in the best interest of the club, but that tap ? hench him being sacked now the season is over & with plenty of time to get the right, I ****ing hope, man in.

Massive thanks to NP but IF we get in ´a big name` it could act as a bit of pulling power to get some very good players in.
The board ain´t any where near finished with LCFC so this could work out really well for the club. Still liked to of kept NP though, but if it´s gone sauer then...

You really couldn't be any more wrong.

When you say, "We don't have rabid tribalism here," are you speaking on behalf of a particular group of people?

I believe, now he's gone, the Leicester supporters will see him as I, and a fair few other outsiders, see him.
He's a manager who thinks he's bigger than the cub and can get away with publicly insulting the media, grappling with opposition players & insulting his club's supporters ..... incredible arrogance seems to run in the family.

Despite his so called achievements I don't believe there'll be a big queue for his 'services'.

While you're here, what do you think of Lineker insulting the owners?

Getting LCFC promoted and the greatest escape ever, Pearson is sacked?
Are the folk running football stupid? Yes.

It looks like the owners sacked Pearson for no reason

They believe our image is still tainted by the Thai trip so have sacked Nigel purely because he is related to one of the 3 clowns

Nigel can surely sue for unfair dismissal and would probably win. Absolutely disgusted with the owners if thats what happened

2 league titles, 2 play offs season and a great escape plus pretty much every club record broken

Yes that makes him a legend. Nothing to do with my age, not many Leicester manager if any have won 2 league titles

Strangling opposition players, swearing at fans and journalists is what I was referring to. Amongst other things.

The Thailand debacle was probably the icing on the cake for your owners who have probably just run out of patience with him.

Been up drowning your sorrows all night PF?
The owners would not have sacked Pearson for no reason. Our image may still be tainted in certain places but again Pearson would not be sacked just because he's related to one of the 3. I'm sure the club followed correct procedures, probably issuing warnings to Pearson for his antics last season, and I bet he's walked away with a nice pay out.
