Hahaha wrote in the Gladwin/Luongo threads that we might as well pick him up now we've got a link with Swindon going. He impressed highly against Sheff Utd over the two legged semi's. I won't mind as looked a proper prospect. Has a spurs past so Ramsey/Les knows him.
Makes sense if they know his game. Would like to see one or two experienced players brought in, the team needs a proper spine for some stability...

Byrne, who was named in the League One team of the season in 2014/15, has a year remaining on his County Ground contract but is reportedly the subject of interest from QPR, while Total Sport understands Brentford and Huddersfield have both been keeping a keen eye on the availability of the former Tottenham trainee. However, with a 50 per cent sell-on fee due to Spurs in the event of Byrne being sold, Swindon chairman Lee Power is expected to ask for a high six-figure sum from his suitors to secure the 23-year-old’s services. Sources have suggested that asking price could reach £1million. Byrne originally joined Swindon on loan from Tottenham in March 2013 before signing permanently in the summer of the same year.
