    If faced with a choice of NUFC or reunited with Pards at Palace, Cabaye will go to Palace. I just don't get why he would come back here ... I mean, I'd love it if he did, but at the moment it won't happen

    a) because Cabaye won't want to come back,
    b) because all the players we are linked with end up at any other club in any other league in any other country except NUFC, and
    c) Ashley probably has no idea who he is anyway.

    So in short, I suspect the Haymarket is safe :emoticon-0105-wink:

    If Obi does indeed share my rotund body shape, as seems to be rumoured on here (I forgot to ask JPF), then can I suggest that myself and Obi could do a sponsored waddle to minimise the possibility of stretchers being required?

    I think Cabaye would happily pull on the shirt again. However I think Pards would be a big pull for him and they would have to be ahead. If Spurs were in, I'd imagine it will be a very short discussion. I don't think we are in, Mike would never pay that money for a 29 yr old. That policy has not changed. We can't afford him either wages wise, we pay buttons.

    I read on the ever so reliable twitter that a loan deal for £2.5m has been agreed and we are supposidely happy to £85,000 p/w a week on top for wages, but its all hearsay, but i would prefer a loan as opposed to a 12m fee for a 30 year old

    A google search for Yohan Cabaye suggests all of the following Clubs could be interested in signing him:

    NUFC
    Palace
    Spurs
    Arsenal
    Liverpool
    Southampton
    West Ham

    I got bored after awhile so no doubt the remaining 13 PL teams are also interested.

    Honestly, being a journalist is just such an easy job. No effort required, just think of 2 things, join them together and there you go, a story.

    I am clearly in the wrong job.
