The graffitti on the memorial is awful, and deplorable. Unfortunately, it will take the headlines. I notice that no News Channel or paper was interested in the largely peaceful protest, until this happened though.

Al, why the heck would they be? It is filth and totally unacceptable. Complete disrespect for the people who saved this country. I don't give a **** who they wrote about, it could have been about me.
I really couldn't give a monkeys that the peaceful protest won't get the coverage that they wanted to. It's no longer important. It would have been good if their message and discontent had been heard, but too late now. Perhaps some of the peaceful protestors will shop the idiots that did it.
I hate that in the society we have today, there are always people who go too far when they don't get what they want.
It is not unfortunate that it will take the headlines, it is unfortunate that someone did it.
