I've not been on much myself lately, so I've only just gotten to this. Gutted.

Really sad news. Hadnt seen this until now. Guy really was part of the foundations of this place. Good skills on renaming the music thread. My best dos to his family. YNWA

Two weeks as passed now and I think most have past on their condolences by now. I will regretfully unsticky this thread now.
None of my business really, but given that there were posters finding this thread as recent as today, should it not be left to be seen by all visitors for a while longer yet mate?

I consulted Gonzo before carrying out this action. If plenty of people want it keeping as a sticky for a bit longer then I have no problem reinstating it (might have to be someone else by then though)
Its a temperamental subject and the unstickying action will never feel right no matter how long we leave it.
Maybe just leave it so that when it gets to, say,a week with no new comments/new people posting, it get's unstickied?
Like I said in the PM, the Music Thread is in his memory.

People can reply to the thread still it's not going to be closed, I would suggest though that anyone who wants to pay respects to Dave uses the Music Thread as that was his domain.
If people want it to be a sticky for longer though that's fine.

This ^ really. I understand what gonzo's saying about the music thread being Dave's legacy, but it just seems a bit premature to let this drop now.

Had a pm from Gonzo about re-stickying this thread but seems someone beat me to it. As I said before, happy to go with the flow
Just been reading back through some of the battles Dave and I had on here, made me cringe, smile, wince, laugh and howl in equal measure. I really miss my old sparring partner, we had some epic, pig headed arguments, but we were also playing to the crowd on occasion, and I'm sure we often shared the same wry smile. God bless Dave mate.
