Not sure how all your previous ones have gone, but the fact that 5 people (including reporter from what MITO said) can all kill - and that some can save up to kill more than once per night - means is can really swing drastically. Add that to lynchings, recruitments, etc. and the tide can turn very quickly.

It didn't necessarily pan out much in this game, but IF we had hit the right 2 people tonight, we'd have killed 2 Ities, also leaving the vigilante to take out the 3rd (already targeted as Trev/Morgan). So tonight could realistically have ended very differently from a landslide victory to complete annhiliation of the Italian mafia all in the same night. IF I had been paying more attention! THAT makes it very interesting, even if the posting numbers were generally low, the tension can still be high.

Speaking of which, simply due to it being a really bad week work-wise, I couldn't get on at all during daytime - except for 10 minutes a couple of lunchtimes - and not at all today/tonight due to access/network signal problems. Usually, I'd be a lot more active too. Likewise Magic obviously had personal priorities while Valley was either at the rugby, or just being a cnut! <laugh>

Probably the later given he's welsh :bandit:

youll have to let us know if you guys do one on your board, be interesting to be involved with people not familiar with.

Although sounds like Is more A free for all over there and any opposition fans may not last long <laugh>

Sure, I think the more the merrier. We've only played the once so far and nobody really had any tactics at first. As the one Mafia (or KGB) Don, I just led the way by picking on a Mackem and that was it, everyone saw red mist and there were killings every day - usually the innocents killing innocents, with some guidance from the KGB. I think an initial team of 4 beat about 12 or more. BUT having multi teams like yours is definitely interesting. Quicker, but really interesting. You have to think much harder.

Unfortuantley, it was a crap week for me personally and with limited time online I made some very bad calls at the end tonight, which probably cut the game short. If I'd been online more, I'd have been totally engrossed in analysing every comment for hidden meaning & patterns, etc.
But having 4 'teams' (including a lone nut-job) certainly adds some really good dimensions that we didn't have on the Toon version.

IF we can get another one going we'll let you guys know. <ok>

Yeah, would be nice to go into a game not being the number one target before it started for once <laugh>

The police board for anyone who wants to see... But most of it is me going into meltdown at RHC for refusing to help the town at all on the last day lol

<laugh><laugh> I feel your pain!

As Mafia (i.e. knowing you were not on my team) I thought you were doing a really good job for us and making it very easy. By the time i logged on most nights, you virtually had Townies lynched up. Now. seeing this thread, reality is is it looks like you had diddly squat help from you 'teamies'. Fcking hilarious!

Still think you made some random decisions too, but maybe that's easy for me to say when I know who was/wasn't in my team. I've only ever been Mafia, so not had the scenario of figuring out from zero and only trying to convince people I don't trust and probably don't trust me.

IF I do play again, baggsie I'm NOT on the same team as Magic and/or RHC! <laugh>

Baggsie the Serial Killer but I propose he links up with the Hitman (someone plays this role)

One of the classified's talked about meeting Astro in the library - what was that all about? At first I thought it was afcftw wanting to meet him on the Arsenal board, what with the Emirates being a library. After that didn't turn up anything, I thought maybe it was Gerez wanting to meet him on the Mansfield board. Also not the case. Still don't know what was meant. What was the idea?

Billy put that one in on night one before he knew anything early on many classifieds were poking him for some reaction

I think the fact he didn't react might be why billy investigated but I dint knoe

To be fair, on the first day or so there's not really anything else to go on than past behaviour.

If you look at who's generally talkative, BRB, Milk and yourself weren't playing, Gerrez cut right back, I stopped after midday on Monday, afcftw was the cop and Astro was farily restrained. It was only Biscan and Bod left of the talkers, and Bod died fairly early as well. Compare that with people like Magic, Valley and Obi Wan who said very little all game, BobbyD, Morgan, Swarbs and RHC who only made comments sporadically, for whatever reason. And the fact that everyone seemed to make their minds up early about who was going to die and everyone more-or-less just went along with it. Generally you knew by lunchtime, or even the night before, who was going to be lynched.

Everyone done the dirty work for me so I didn't need to force situations. I just hid among you ;)

Also, how do you and Bod always come across as so suspicious, even when you're innocent?

Bizarrely enough, voting patterns (what few there were) were really unhelpful this time. The only ones that really stood out were Astro and RHC (not connected) and Trev and BobbyD (not connected).

Also love the bit on the Italians' board where Valley thinks they should target Trev, until Morgan points out that he's Trev <laugh>

I even voted for Trev and then edited my post to which nobody picked up on <laugh>

Problem was at that time, me and billy didn't know who the Italians were. We investigated valley on last night.

Was better to get rid of swarbs than a townie... Had it gone to plan. Get rid of swarbs, hope vigi takes out an Italian through luck (turns out he got me) and then we lynch valley when we find out he's the don.

Unfortunately the the hitman took out two townies and killed the game.

Vigi didn't get you - Mafia got you.

Lynching me would only work if you could also be sure of getting an Italian. As it was, you being so sure I was Mafia without any convincing public explanation meant we pegged you for having been recruited, as only the Italians could be sure I had a role. That's why I outed you as mason, but couldn't do it convincingly as the only way I could prove how I'd been identified was to admit I was the don. I think the Italians targeted you as well so you were done.

Then the journo fingered both me and Bobby as 100% Mafia, so we also took out Bobby as I figured the journo would have seen both me and the person who recruited me, so he was Italian don.

Haven't read back, but how did the journo (Billy IIRC) get that so wrong?

The latter, i was just trying to add to our fabulously constructed storyline. Shame Astro totally ignored both classifieds

I was hoping to look like the journalist once the discussion turned to who likes to post images. My post saying the journalist got £1k per classified was quite close (actually £0.5k). I didn't post any classifieds to keep my head down and maybe use it later to bluff that the journalist couldn't post them.

No the journo (whoever he was <whistle>) didn't get to see the recruiter possibly because you declined. I didn't know then who you were or why you declined....there was a clue I missed in the money I was awarded that night but then I wasn't the only one missing clues eh <laugh> the shoes.....I gave you 5 or 6 clues in the second paper, reporters name wrong, grandmaster being wrong the ****ing shoes....and about 4 other clues in the first paper as to Astro being goon, the Don is quoted in first paper saying "we won't give up an inch of our turf" and the header bottom right says "Italian goon with " stellar" bedroom secrets"....with hindsight I should have just blown Astro up but I wanted to see who he sided with and Nozzer was up for lynch anyway by a mile.

Second night I obviously wasn't intending to be cryptic at all as original paper was naming Astro....I knew hack was possible so left the mother of all clues in the classifieds. Third and fourth night I was blocked from asking questions but I'd like to point out in my selection of targets I had a 100% hit rate that those I chose to follow had roles <diva> Don't blame the journo coz you lot couldn't see the wood for the trees :)

When we hacked the paper I asked MITO to delete the details surrounding my accusation in case there was some code but he only changed "hashtag" to "Manctwat"

Actually a lot changed but originally I was told a hack would only get to change one bit....I was a bit pissed off you got to change both the articles tbh. Anyway I loved the journo role and game was pretty well balanced considering how many play :)

I think the mafia had it easy tbh...but that was down to luck of the draw. AFC as chief cop, Magic as Magic, RHC as replacement...we did well to make it to Friday <laugh> <doh> [HASHTAG]#keystonecops[/HASHTAG]

Then why were you so certain Bobby was Mafia in the final paper? That swung it for us, as we went for Bobby and Biscan instead of taking out Trev, which meant the town lost in the end.

Simple...guesswork. We knew you were a definite by then and bobby had been siding with you a lot the day before (and even more so after the paper). I'm sure it was IBWTs idea <whistle>

Guys beford this thread is officially closed and consigned to the archives, can we all just spare a thought for poor old Less Hope Than Neville.

In the one and only Toon KGB/Magia game so far he was assigned as a standard innocent with no powers. He was hopelessly lost and didn't have a clue. He made a daily plea to his fellow team members with powers to come forth and guide the innocents, who were losing badly. Due to this vulnerability, he got 'played and drawn in by a deceitful KGB don (whoever that was :bandit: ). Having unwittingly helped the KGB pick off his colleagues, Less Hope was killed off, finishing on the losing team.

He spent the 6 months since then pleading for JPF to set up another game so he could seek revenge.

No game!

So imagine his excitement when he heard about this one. He couldn't wait to get his own back.

The roles were allocated and Nev was... a standard innocent with no powers. Oh well, still a chance of being on the winning team. Maybe.

He gets in late at the end of play on night 1, having not posted...to find you lot had already lynched him!!

Poor Nev. Maybe next time mate!
